Expression too complex to be evaluated

  • Follow

Hi,

When I'm opening a report I get the message "This expression is typed
incorrectly, or it is too complex to be evaluated. For example, a numeric
expression may contain too many complicated elements. Try simplifying the
expression by assigning parts of the expression to variables."

I'm using Access 2007 (just upgraded from 2003). I didn't seem to get this
error in 2003. This report is based on some 3 queries.
- The 1st query runs and limits the data set to dates that are selected in a
combo box on a form.
- 2nd query runs and sums the data for all dates within the data set.
- 3rd query runs and calculates some percentages, etc.
The queries work great and when I run each of them and they gives the
information I need without a problem. But, the report that this last query
is based on gives the message above. Any ideas what could be causing the
problem?

Thanks!
Heather
