It does absolutely noting to the database.
The intent of the Developer edition is to allow you to package your database
along with a run-time version of Access so that people who don't already
have Access installed on their machine can install the run-time version and
use your application. It does not change your application in any way, shape
or form. In fact, because the run-time is limited in terms of what it can do
(you can't, for example, open a form or report in Design view), the onus is
on you to ensure that your application will work properly with the run-time.
