How to make Access 2007 Navigation pane invisible?

  • Follow

I have tried the Access Options. | Current Database | Navigation, uncheck
Display Navigation Pane, and the vertical "Navigation Pane" still displays
in a compiled .ade.

Something else yet?

Hum, Have you tried a different form as the startup form? I just tested a
simple form as adp, and an ade in 2007, and it hides the nav pane correctly
for me....

Is there error handling in this form? Also, try the form without popup = no,
and model = no....

Try this with a test form, and see if the nav pane shows. If the nav pane
shows with an simple form, then you know it something in your code....

I was not aware that the switchboard works for adp (but, it possible you
talking about your own switch board you created as opposed to the built in
one).

I have very little experience with adp's, but a test form with the startup
options to hide the nav pane does work. So, I wondering if you have any
special kind of code, or some other code in the startup that is preventing
something from running here...

After setting the Options, have you re-create that a new ADE? What I'm saying
is did you open/run the old ADE.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had tested the .ade. I presume that this is
another Access 2007 bug that appears only in .adp projects.

Did you create a new ade after you set the Access Options to hide the Nav
Pain.

The old ade will not hide the Nav Pain as it was not hidden in the Access
Option.
