using both access 2000 and 2002

  • Follow

I am creating a database in access 2000 that will then be
converted to access 2002, are there any issues with
this. Also, since I will be working from different
locations and two computers that have different
versions on them (2000 and 2002). Will I be able to use
the database in both versions of access and work between
computers?

Hi Mel,

Access 2002 uses the Access 2000 file format by default, so there's no
need to convert the database at all: just leave it in Access 2000
format.

(In any case the conversion system is not designed for continually
switching a database back and forth between versions.)
