I have my PDF printer set up as my default printer. When printing a SOP
Invoice - it asks me where to create the file to....is there a way to setup a
default file location for the creating of PDF's?

Thanks

Andrea,

This issue cannot be done through GP since GP is only sending the printing
job to the printer, you may need to look in the application settings that
created this printer.

For printers created by Adobe PDF follow steps below:
1. Right click the printer.
2. Go to Advanced Tab
3. Click on Printing Defaults.
4. Uncheck "Prompt for Adobe PDF filename"

External Interface to GP Project Accounting
Is there a way to interface / access GP Project Accounting bypassing the GUI interface? Perhaps an API or COM interface. I need to intiate, update, and close a project programmatically. eConnect includes an interface to Project Accounting. Business Portal has some data-entry functionality that might a helpful place to look, but I think it's geared towards data collection vs.project setup. Also, I think there are hooks in the Office InformationBridge product. "dtschroe" <dtschroe@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:FDBA6774-E584-45A7-B917-AFB3F34B3A...

pdf writer check
Hi, I want to add a button on a sheet that will print sheets 5-9 to a pdf file. I'm gonna have a play to try and work this out myself (I'm even gonna try and get it to calculate page numbers and create a contents page within the workbook! - any tips appreciated!!). Can I send a PDF that requires a password to open? I want to send PDF files to an email account with multiple users, but only want selected users to be able to open the attachment. Outlook has no control over the security of a PDF file, that's handled by the PDF file creation software and the reader, but you can certainly e-mail the file to the recipients. Why Isn't "Stop Processing More Rules" a Default?
I don't seem to be getting straight information about this issue. In Outlook Express' mail rules you never, EVER had to check off "Stop Processing More Rules" to complete a mail rule, and in any event this tickbox was so far down the list of options that one never saw it. Several people on this newsgroup have complained about this and wondered why they never had to check it off before upgrading to Windows 7 and Live Mail (since Outlook Express has been quietly retired). A point to consider is that, when one creates a mail rule, the message(s)-in-question ar...

correcting page count when user changes printer selection
If the user changes the printer settings between OnPreparePrinting() and OnBeginPrinting() the new page count is not reflected in the number of times OnPrint() is called.
