Partially invoicing a Drop-Ship Order Linked to a Drop-Ship PO
Can you partially invoice a drop-ship order in SOP that is linked to a drop-ship PO? We received an invoice from one of our vendors that was for a drop- ship PO we issued to them. They did not ship the complete order...only a partial. We matched the partial invoice to the drop- ship PO and processed it, but now need to invoice the customer for the partial. In the drop-ship order in SOP, it shows the quantity fulfilled for the line item as the amount from the vendor invoice, but in the Quantity to Invoice field, it shows the total quantity ordered when the customer placed the order. Is there a way to make this work? I'm running GP9. Thanks in advance. -Joe

I can think of only 2 ways to accomplish this. 1) Using Sales Workflow. By using Fulfillment Order, you would be able to deliver and invoice partially. Transfer Order,with partial fulfillment, to Fulfillment Order then to Invoice.On the Sales Doc Fulfillment Setup, select only the appropriate status that you need to shorten the process. 2) If you were not using Sales Workflow, transfer Sales Order to Invoice, then modify the the Billed Qty and put the remaining Qty on Back Order. Transfer Qty to Back-Order Type. You may fulfill and invoice the remaining qty from the back-order. Goodluck! Hello, I have a combo box within which I would like to have a list of reasons for absenteeism of employees. They are in their own table called "reasons". The only thing in this table is a list of 8 possible reasons why a person would be absent. I keep trying to change the order of the items to put the most-used reason first, etc... but it automatically changes itself back to alphabetical order. Is there any way to change this? What am I missing - I can select a ship to address off the Vendor for the individual PO. It still prints the company ship to address and on the line item the "ship to" line is greyed out. I've got a chart from range of data gives the calculates accumulated total from another table and would like the option to have the calculation result in a blank cell that is not plotted as a zero. In report writer I have added the User Defined Fields to the Body of the report. However they are showing up underneath every line item. I have created a simple web site containing 5 pages below the home page, looks good in the navigational structure...and I have added a link bar (based on nav. strct) for all 6 pages. In FP, I can hold the ctrl key and select any of my link bar buttons and it will take me to the appropriate page. When I publish it will only show me the home page without the link bars (no text or bar). The navigation web site view shows the levels correctly, but when I view the hyperlink view, it does not show that any of my pages are linked to each other. Can anyone help me through this? I am just fishing for some ideas here - We sell teleconferences and webconferences and bill once a month. We would like to integrate this into CRM and the GP piece, but I am a bit confused on how to go forward. The Professional Services Tool Library tool for Minimum PO/Receipt Number should be included in the core Dynamics GP product. My company does NOT want to use the default functionality of reusing previously skipped or deleted PO numbers. We only want to increment the PO Next Number. I do not want the burden of having to track an add-on tool and retest and reimplement it for every product upgrade. Products and Invoicing
I am just fishing for some ideas here - We sell teleconferences and webconferences and bill once a month. We would like to integrate this into CRM and the GP piece, but I am a bit confused on how to go forward. Is anyone else "selling" products this way? and if so, how did you set up your catalog, etc...? I am thinking of starting an order, then just leaving it open and adding the conferences as "products" - then generate the invoice.
