Anyway to open 02 files with 2000 version
I have purchased some marketing materials which contain
many files created by Publisher 2002 version. My 2000
version is unable to open them. Is there anything I can
do to open them besides buying a newer version?

Due to errors I have had to delete and renter deposits and
bills but in the budget and in edit budget these amounts
are doubled even though they were deleted???. I tried to

shows 920.00 every month; when I try to edit it just
bounces me back to the budget.
Is the budget amount correct next month? Changes to budget items are made to
the next budget period and not the one in progress. If it's wrong *every*
month, then you might be better off starting a new budget.

Okay - I give up. What's the secret to getting vertical lines on a SOP
invoice to be the right length? How far into the Page Footer section should
they go, if at all? All my lines are either too long or too short.
Ha! I have never been able to figure that out either. I just make them all
different lengths, and then print it and see which one is closer, and then
try to work with it from there. I'm sure there is some logic behind it, but
it sure doesn't look like it when you are actually doing it.

I would like to extend the AP transaction description field. I believe it is
a 30 char field. I have extender. Will that work? I do not have modifyer.
You can't lengthen the field of a column in GP, I would recommend adding a
new field for your description and use that with Extender. Search the posts

have unprtected all of the pages and have no problem in the funtional use of
the workbook. The PROBLEM is when i switch from sheet to sheet it goes back
to full screen mode which i do not want on. I turn it off but as soon as i
switch pages its back on even on the page i just cut it off. It is very

I am new to macros and adding buttons on a worksheet to perform various
It seems that buttons (added from the Forms toolbar) float above the
cells. So far, whenever I delete columns or rows that run under a
button, the button remains there intact. After getting used to this, I
deleted some rows on one sheet that run under a button and the portion

When I have two workbooks open I think I should see both of the workbooks
listed in the Window tab on the Menu Bar. I only see the workbook file I am
in. What can I do to correct this?

The 'problem' you describe pops up when you open Excel twice, what might
happen when you double-click the file from the Explorer to open it while
Excel already is open. It will not happen if you have Excel open and open
the file from within.

We have a unique setup whereas we are both a contractor and a retailer.
Some jobs require us to pay the taxes to the city where the installation is,
while people who walk into the store need to pay retail taxes.
We currently calculate sales tax based off the customers zip code, which
works well. If, for some reason, the zip code is entered in incorrectly or
is not known it will automatically collect the retail tax (which is higher
than the others...so at least we are overcollecting).

I have a user running Outlook 2000 SR1 and they are having
trouble opening attchments. They were sent 2 excel
spreadsheet which they were unable to open, the error they
received was 'can't open the attached file due to
restrictions in place on this computer'.
They have admin rights on the PC and there are no other
restrictions in place (that I can think of).
I opened the excel spreadsheets fine myself and they are
just simple forms, no macros or anything linking to them.
Does anyone have any ideas.

We use Dynamics GP 10 sp4. Recently we had someone create a new invoice
unfortunately part way through his process he had a power outage. When he
went back in to edit the INV it wasn't listed. So he went to create a new
one but the 8 items he had already added to the old invoice is showing up
with an allocated amount of the same # that was on the "lost in limbo"
In the back end we can find the the invoice in the SOP tables. it's also in
some INV and PM tables too.
So I restored a copy of production to a maintenance env and am working in

Try this: File, Work Offline, delete the messages. There's a bug in OL 2003
that won't allow messages in Outbox to be sent if you open while in the
Outbox. Fix--Move the message to another folder and press Send again.

I have quantity 0 in the quantity column but dollar amounts in the extended
amount column (both positive and negative). I have tried adjusting costs,
and variations of inventory transactions, ultimately I can change the
quantity, but the dollar amount will not update/fix. I am in urgent need of
assistance - trying to close year end!
