Pivot Table from multiple workbooks
Is it possible to create a pivot table from multiple workbooks or doe
all the data need to be in a single wokbook? I have separate workbook
for each date of the month and need to compile all the data into

you can use the data from multiple worksheets. in the pivot table

We have several complex pivot tables and are trying to get a % of the
subtotal instead of the total. We have infomation by state (the subtotal)
and want to know the % of dollars by state not the % of each bucket of total
of all the data. If this possible. We have tried calculated fields and
nothing seems to work. Thanks for any ideas.
There's no option to calculate the percent of a subtotal in a pivot
table. You could do the calculation outside of the PivotTable.
Or, create a second pivot table, based on the first one, and use the %
Of Column calculation to show the state perce...How do I fix this?
I used the Startup tool to setup my application but I unchecked the Menu Bar
and the Shortcut Menu Bar checkboxes. I need to make some changes but I can't
get the Tool menu back.

My laptop with Money 2002 died and had to be sent in for
service which will probably be about a month. The good
news is that I backup up all my data files the day before
and burned them to CD. My office machine is running
Windows 98 SE and Money 2001 but it will not read the
2002 files. I can't install XP because the machine will

I'm trying to revise an existing Import Spec to include new fields added to a
fixed width text file. If I import without making any revisions the dates
import correctly. They are on the file as CCYYMMDD and the data field in the
Spec is Date/Time and I've deselected 4 digit year. My new date fields were
added to the text file as YYMMDD and I select Date/Time data field for the
new fields. However, with the revisions made adding the new fields none of
the date fields import now with the revised spec.

drop down list for the user to select from.
My question is whether my databse would run faster if I used:
a query from an already established table as the values for the lookup
to build a new table to hold the information for the lookup wizard to use.
I think you'll find few of us recommend the use of the Lookup Wizard. Lookup
fields only have a place in tables, and your users should never be working
directly with the tables. Create a form, and use a combo box on the form.
What does the word FIX mean on Excel 2000? It is in the lower right
hand corner 3 boxes away from NUM, 4 boxes from CAPS.

It means you have turned on fixed decimals places under tools>options>edit,
so if you have 2 fixed decimal places and enter 20 in a cell it will change

I have one table with all company invoice records for a month, each record

We have 20 different sales reps [REP] and that will vary from

I want to generate a separate table for each [REP], each containing all the

I do not want to type in each of the [REP] codes to run 20+ different

Drill down on the asset cost amount in the book window. Check the period
for which the cost was added.
Make sure you specify that period when you run the interface to the gl.
