Automatic Forwarding of Email
We have several employees that work from home that have
email addresses on our server. We need to be able to
setup an automatic forward that when an email comes in to
our server it will automatically forward to their outside

this can be done?

Quick question regarding addressing. We have several domains for which we
receive mail. Not all of our users require email addresses for the 4 domains
we handle. In the recipients default policy, I know you configure email
addresses here, but does this not replicate this to all users, new and old?
If so, what's an easy way around this. I think in 2000 Exchange, there was
an option as to whether to make this site/server wide but I don;t see that
option in 2003.
The default recipient policy should appy to everyone you give a mailbox to.

1. There is no visual indication that an email has been promoted to a CRM

In 5.5, I believe the checkbox to enable is on the properties of the
server object in the admin gui.

My exchange 2000 server (with latest SP) has been running well for almost
three years. In the last few days I have had several users complain that
they can't download their mail. Switching off Cached Exchange Mode seems to
fix the problem, but it's a mess because they can't use the junk mail filter
in non-cached mode. I have seen a number of recent posts regarding this
problem in other forums. Does anyone have a clue as to what is causing this
problem? It seems to have cropped up only in the last few weeks.

Such as Zen, etc. I was curious to know if there's a provision in Exchange
whereby it can log the addresses of incoming mails (maybe even just the SMTP

Performance Monitor can tell you the *number* of blocked connections, it's a
bit disconcerting to have no idea what blocked. Not using a connection
filter and letting all email in and then filtering out with IMF at least
lets you see what's not going to users.
