Tool to verify mailbox migration

Hello,

I am getting ready to migrate my users from E2003 to E2007. I have
about 150 users and will be doing the migration in stagesover the next
month and a half. I am looking for a tool that I can run after the
migration is complete, to make sure everything got moved correctly.
Does such a creature exist?

Thank you

Daryl

What are you trying to verify? It's a transactional based process. if
it works it works. If it fails it will work itself out (granted it
takes a little while) and nothing is changed.
are you trying to see if the rules or folders are all in the right
place or what? can't understand what you're asking really.

Outlook, driven by the mailbox owner???

Unless you have some extradinary circumstances, moving 150 mailboxes
should take no more than a couple of hours.

Most of the problems you're likely to encounter will be at the
desktop, not the server.

Mailbox Size is Larger on EX2003
I've moved a mailbox from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 and the size has increased 30%. Two folders contained corrupted messages and would not allow the mailbox to move. I archived the contents of these two folders and the move was successful and I was able to then import the messages back into the mailbox from the PSTs. I really don't think the Import/Export of messages has anything to do with it but the mailbox was 219MB on EX2000 and is now 320MB on EX2003. Any ideas? K. Leonard Look for duplicate messages. Can't login to mailboxes
We had a server crash last nite and had to rebuild the Exchange server. Everything restored ok and seemed to work fine (at least at 3:30 this morning). Well, this morning as users started showing up, several of our PC users can't access their email. We are running Outlook 2000 and Exchange 2000 on a Windows 2k Server. Odd thing is that all of our Citrix clients can access their mailboxes just fine. The pc users are prompted for a username/password/domain inside of Outlook. When they put in the correct info (the same info they just used to authenticate to the domain with), it doesn...

Restore Mailbox for Comparison
I have exchange 2003 on win2k3 and have an employee who left the company. It is thought that emails were deleted from the mailbox. I tried the "recover deleted items" but there was nothing there. I think this person knew a bit too much. I have monthly backups of the exchange server. The users mailbox has not been deleted and is still active. I would like to keep the mailbox and restore one of the old backup mailbox to compare what was deleted. Is there a way to do this. Mailbox Permissions #15
Hi! I have front-end and back-end Exchange 2003 installed on Windows 2003. Both of Exchange Server are member servers in the domain. I have only one Domain Controller which is also Global Catalog. If I create a new user in the domain who has also Exchange mailbox, this user cannot connect to Exchange Server RPC over HTTP. I became the error message "Invalid Bookmark". This user is a member in the Domain Users group. Then I added the user to Domain Admins group. After that the user could access to Exchange through RPC over HTTP. No password protect workbook box in Tools>Options>General
As is the case with much of this limited CD that was installed, some important features are missing. I want to password protect any given workbook. When I went to help (since the Tools>Protection didn't work) it told me to go to Tools>Options>General, and click on the box that said to password protect the workbook. As usual, this version has nothing of the sort on the General tab under Options. Now what? Why don't you get a full version if you expect full version capability? Rename mailbox?
Is there any easier way of renaming a user account/mailbox when someone gets married/divorced? Rather than creating a new one and moving everything over into it? Win2003 Server/Exch2003 Server Yep. All this information is just stored in Active Directory. If you change the names on the user's account properties tabs, then that change is replicated out and becomes the user's new "identity". Some common tabs to change are the 'Account' tab and 'Email Addresses' tab. Just keep in mind that you may want to keep the user's old email address and j...

Mailbox size
I have a user with a 215 MB mailbox(according to Outlook on different PCs) yet my Exchange 2K3 ESM says her mailbox is 366 MB. What's the recommendation to fix it...? Thanks, Tom... I would guess nothing. Exchange uses a different storage engine than PST files do so the file size might differ (an it usually does) from the size you see when looking at the mailbox in the ESM. J. Veritas version 10 "Exchange Mailbox backup" has slowed way down
WIndows 2003/Exchange 2003 environment. Exchange server is across the LAN from the server with the tape drive. I know the Mailbox back is slower anyway, however My total back up job used to take 8 hours. The one day it jumped to 10:30 hours. There was no increase in data size being backup. (total 300GB) If you look in the Veritas logs it is clear that ALL the time increase can be cresdited to the mailbox part of Exchange increasing by like 600% in time to back it up. Went from like 45 minutes to 230 minutes in one day! Now, it has stayed there consistenly (10:30 hours) for 2 wee...

Exchange directory name of mailbox has heap of numbers, eg. jsmith2356634346

The only thing that i can see that it effects is exmerge when it is looking for a PST with a heap of numbers at the end. Does any one have the answer? The simple solution is to rename the pst to what the directory name is, but that dont answer my question of why the number...

Exchange 5.5 System Free/Busy objects left in Exchange 2003 since Migration.

CSV Import with Data Migration Manager
Hi Everyone, I am trying to migrate from goldmine 6.5 to Microsoft CRM 4.0 and I am having some trouble at the final hurdle. I have imported all company data as Accounts, then I import individual people as Contacts, but I leave the Company Name column in and map it to parent customer -> account name. This works to a degree, but for some reason will only accept 1 of each company, so if there are multiple contacts under one account then it takes the first one and rejects the rest. It looks like the relationship is stuck at 1-1 for the import, but I can then manually change it afterwards, s...
