Sending from multiple email addresses
We currently provide support for a few clients. I currently have Exchange 2003 setup to handle mydomain.com. We have distro lists setup at our clients as support@myclient.com. That email sends to say 10 of our techs. When they reply or initiate an email, I need them to be able to select whether they are sending from johndoe@mydomain.com or from support@myclient.com. Is there a way to do this in Exchange 2003? If we configured Outlook to retrieve emails for mydomain.com as POP3, you can just add another account and select the account. I don't want to have to do this since there is no email server to check anymore. Thanks, Scott

You should be able to give them Send As rights on the support mailbox and then if they add the From button in Outlook they should be able to select the address. A copy of any email sent to the support@myclient.com email gets forwarded to my 10 or so techs into their individual email@mydomain.com mailbox. I just need them to be able send an email so if someone replies to it, the reply will go to support@myclient.com. That way any reply will make it back to all of the techs so any of them that are on can address the problem. That doesn't change the answer. The support techs will either need to Send As the distribution list (makes the support@ show up as the from address) or they need to use a 3rd party tool like the ChooseFrom tool that Nue indicated. This is actually a shortcoming with Outlook, not Exchange. I re-read the initial question where you stated that the support@ address actually lives on the client's server. It certainly complicates things, but I believe that if you create a user account that has support@yourclient.com as the *primary* address, it should work. You might want to make sure that a) that account is disabled, and b) you restrict it so that it does not get updated by any e-mail address policies. Hi Running latest IE8 I keep finding that when I start IE8, type an expression in the search box in the top right corner, the address box steals focus So if I type "SQL Server 2008 Client installation", the letters "SQL S" are in the search box and the rest of the letters "erver 2008 Client installation" are now in the address box. I am an Outlook/Exchange user who wants to be able to extract the names (last, first), "company", and SMTP addresses from an Outlook/Exchange offline Address Book. I want to merge records from a data source in access to publisher. I want 4 different records per page in postcard format. Each time I use the catalog merge feature it prints 1 record 4 times on the page. How can I fix this? You need to have one card on your screen for the merge to work. Will un- & reinstalling Outlook'03 delete email & addresses?
I've been plagued with an Outlook problem for about a month. Settings are right. Test email works fine. All other internet related programs are fine. But Outlook gives me a "send/receive error" message as fast as I can hit "Send/Receive". If I keep it open just to check contacts or calendar it always crashes within 10 to 60 minutes. If I start it in safe mode it seems to work all right. I reinstalled and it worked for 30 minutes and then did the same thing. If I Uninstall first, and then Reinstall, will it help? Outlook 2002 Must Manually hit the Send/Receive button
Recently, even though my Outlook mail set-up is suppose to schedule an automatic send/receive every 1 minute, no messages will come in or out unless I manually hit the send/receive button including when I first open Outlook. My Outlook had to be re-installed and I lost my contact list which is very large. I see several files in the recycle bin. Is one of them by contacts? Autocomplete cache is an NK2 file, named for your profile, often outlook.nk2. How do I print multiple records to one publication page?
I want to merge records from a data source in access to publisher. I want 4 different records per page in postcard format. Each time I use the catalog merge feature it prints 1 record 4 times on the page. How can I fix this? You need to have one card on your screen for the merge to work. Will un- & reinstalling Outlook'03 delete email & addresses?
I've been plagued with an Outlook problem for about a month. Settings are right. Test email works fine. All other internet related programs are fine. But Outlook gives me a "send/receive error" message as fast as I can hit "Send/Receive". If I keep it open just to check contacts or calendar it always crashes within 10 to 60 minutes. If I start it in safe mode it seems to work all right. I reinstalled and it worked for 30 minutes and then did the same thing. If I Uninstall first, and then Reinstall, will it help? Hi, I've currently got an issue with the calendar. For some unknown reason every time I get a meeting request, my manager also gets one. Recently, even though my Outlook mail set-up is suppose to schedule an automatic send/receive every 1 minute, no messages will come in or out unless I manually hit the send/receive button including when I first open Outlook. My Outlook had to be re-installed and I lost my contact list which is very large. I see several files in the recycle bin. Is one of them by contacts? Running Office 2007 Professional. I think that's what you would call it. I am looking for work and have a Word file that I use as a cover letter. Right now I have to open Word and copy and paste into the email. When I archive my "sent" emails, I am not able to sort them by who they were sent to. All of them show up as to me. All of my other archived email works well.
