Exchange 2003, smtp crashes IISadmin, Exchange Routing Engine.
I have an Exchange 2003 server, all of a sudden the SMTP service
started to crash, then IISadmin, IMAP4, POP3, and the NNTP services
would crash as well.
I have reinstalled IIS and Exchange as per Microsoft's Instructions.
Then the SMTP would work then about a day later, same thing started to
happen again. So I re-installed Exchange again. Now the problem is
occuring all the time.
It's a SBS 2003 server, I have turned off virus scanning,
checked the permissions for the application pool services. Recreated

All no help.

I have a client who has access to the internet through my network. The

port identification issue. Can anyone tell me how to check what port Exchange

I'm getting ready to upgrade our existing 2003 Exchange Server (SP1)

Is this service pack a pretty straighforward installation? Is it fast
to run? Do I need to stop any services before running it or stop the

I switched a user called Richard over to a new server all
was ok. But, he is using a dial-up VPN. He also uses
offline mode and he has cached mode selected. After the
migration when he was on the new server he was getting
the error number. 0x80070005 "do not have permissions"
when he hit send and receive.
But when he changed Outlook to Online all was ok. He
wasn't getting that error when he hit send and receive.
Does anyone know what would cause this? All research I
have done says that it is an access issue, or a service
pack, windows update issue. I don't think...Can I run exchange along with SQL Server?
I have a W2003 server running in an NT domain. It runs SQL 2000 server. When
the domain is upgraded to Active Directory 2003, I plan to install Exchange
2000/2003 onto the same server as SQL and then migrate mailboxes from the
two 5.5 servers currently used.
Its q a small domain, only about 50 PCs, 50 mailboxes, 25 SQL users.
Are there likely to be any compatibility issues with SQL and Exchange on the
same server? I would have put it on another server but that one has to have
Outlook installed on it for the fax system.

This file's function is to retain addresses for auto-completing
