New Users are not appearing in GAL
We've got SBS 2003 standard, just recently when we have created new users their details are not appearing in the Global Address List. In Exchange Manager when you browse the address lists and click Preview, the new users appear, though they still do not being published to the clients. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be a great help.

What version of outlook are you using? Have you checked to see if they appear when accessing through OWA? nhaydon1Guess: your clients are using Outlook 2003 with the default settings of cached mode, right? This is one of the most common questions. Cached mode relies on the Default Offline Address Book, which only gets re-generated by Exchange once per day by default. You can re-generate the OAB and then force the clients to download the Address Book, or you can just wait. Usually, within a day the clients will have the new updated information. It could be a bunch of things - Are your using Outlook 2003? Then you need to check that they have downloaded the latest offline address book.. You may also want to rebuild the offline address book from Exchange System Manager. If your using the cached mode Outlook 2003 then you were certainly need to do this... We have Exchange 2003 Enterprise and we are getting similar issues. After adding a new user last week, he still does not show in GAL on the clients. Yes we do use caching, but I have downloaded address book and it is a week later. Also on new Address list I have set-up, certain users will be missing on the lists at the client end. e.g Directors list has 6 entries on the server preview, clients only show 5? Before i used to have an icon pop up in my system tray when i received a new mail. I accidently hid it one time and it no longer comes back. How can i get it back. User can not acces from home the EXchange server
Currently we allow our users to access there email VIA the web using http:yayaya.com/exchange. however one of my user's is unable to log in this way. On-site using outlook he has no problem but when he try's entering his login name and password via the web he gets a message saying username and password are incorrect. transferring outlook express files to new computer
I am trying to transfer my OE files to my laptop. I have tried to use the export feature but it is not working. In scanning the Knowledge Base it seems I need to have the full version of Outlook or Exchange because it has files in order to make this work??? I don't have these programs on my old computer - just OE. I tried copying all the email files/folders into the proper/corresponding directory on my laptop but they just don't show up. Is there a way to list the users who are actually using Activesync? I can get a list of all the devices but have not run across a method of seeing if they are actually sending and reciveing mail. I have a email template that I want to make the default. In other words, when you click on New to create a new email, I want the message template that I have created to come up as the default. Hi, I have Outlook 2003 and if I go to Tools>Options>Mail Format I see I can choose a signature for new messages. We are receiving e-mails for users that were been deleted from our server years ago. Does anyone know how to block these e-mails. We have a SPAM program that allows you to blacklist but it does not stop the messages from coming through. Create ea distribution list containing no members, but which has all the long-gone users' smtp addresses. This is called a blackhole DL. I have a new MacBook and just installed Office Mac Home & Student Edition; however, I had to install Office twice on this computer because of problems encountered. Have I just used up two of my three instillation privileges? On the first try I could not register because my PID was stated as invalid. I have just finished installing a child domain (leaf node) and installing a exchange server for that new domain.
