NDR on Public Folders when certain servers try to replicate

We have a multi site Exchange 2003/2000 server environment and I am
noticing NDR messages similar to the following being sent to the
postmaster:

Undeliverable:Delivery Status Notification (Failure)

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:
      Sent:	17/10/2005 15:34

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

      Public Folder Store (Exch2k3svr) on 17/10/2005 15:35
You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For
assistance, contact your system administrator.
            <smtp.domain.co.uk #5.7.1>

If I click on "Send again" the only other information I can glean is
that the source of the email was from one of the other Exch2000 servers
in the domain. The problem is also occuring between Exch2000 servers,
and not just to the Exch2003 servers.

I guess there is some kind of permission problem going on at the
Exchange Server level but I can't find what the default permissions
should be on the server or public folders. Can someone point me in the
right direction or list what perms you have on your Exch Servers.

Thanks in advance.

setiing Folder View to show details
Is there any way to set the Folder View to details for all the folders rather than to tiles in XP? nospam;3370973 Wrote: > Is there any way to set the Folder View to details for all the folders > rather than to tiles in XP? Yes there is. It's really easy to do too. Here's what you do. Go to any folder and set the view to details. Don't close the window (stay in that folder). Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Folder Options". Select the "View" tab. Click the "Apply To All Folders" button under the &q...

Public Folders Issue #2
I have Windows Server 2003 SP1 Domain Controller (Native Mode), another server with Exchange 2003 SP1 (Native mode as well, Windows Server 2003 SP1). I have one mailbox store, and one public store for the PF tree. All users can read their mail, but they can't access the Public Folders from their Outlook 2003 SP1 client. Though, they can access the PF from the OWA. Any ideas? Protecting Folder
Hello, I'd like to create a folder on a Windows 2003 Business Server which is not accessible unless permission is explicitly granted to a user. It will be to hold an MS Access database backend. I have a folder now in which this is accomplished, but to do it, I created a Security Group, unchecked all of the permissions and denied List Folder Contents permission. This doesn't seem rational to me to have to specifically deny access. I asked a network guy if there was another way, and he said what I did was exactly right. I find it difficult to believe. Thanks for ...

Public folder permissions for OWA

Will too many public folders crash our exchange server?
I run scheduling of appintments for a group totaling approximately 90 users. I do this through public folders I've created. I am told by our MIS that the creation of too many public folders will crash our Exchange server. Is that a possibility? They want to block the creation of public folders. That would have a negative effect on our ability to schedule matters as we have for the past three years. You would do better to ask the experts in the Exchange newsgroup, not the Outlook newsgroup.
