Unique Excel records only
I am using Excel 2003, and I have three columns of data. Some of the
records of each of the three columns (a) have spaces between them and (b)
Is there a way to pull out the spaces (i.e. the blank records) and eliminate
the duplicate records?
In an attempt to filter out the duplicates, I went to Data...Advanced Sort
and checked the box "Unique records only". But, that was not correct. Some
duplicates and at least one blank record remained.
Any help on this would be thoroughly appreciated. Thanks.

I have unistalled pfbackup (I thought)and wanted to
reinstall it. However the installation detects a previous
installation and suggests unistalling it by clicking "OK".
It then gives a dialogue saying it will have to be
unistalled from windows Add/Remove programs in the
Control Panel, but it isn't there either.
Any clues out there to help me?

I am unable to get my DDNS service to work with exchange 2003. I am sure it
is the way I have it configured on my end. Every message sits in the queue
and says unable to connect with the server or unable to deliver the message
in the time specified.
I can do a nslookup q=mx and it's there but that's for the no-ip MX record.
What sould my local MX recrord FQDN read?
What should my FQDN be of the Exch (SMTP) Server?

We've just finished to install the CRM 4.0. The server and the client.
We change from 3.0 to 4.0 CRM version.
But when we install the CRM client for 1 computer. Installer says OK.
But each time we launch the Outlook we got the same messages :

I have a combo box which i use as a search field.
Correct me if i am wrong. Using the code below i am able to select the
record from the combo box and it populates the corresponding values to all
other controls on the form and subform. When i use the default record select
and scroll from one record to another the combo box selection remains in the
last selected value. Can i code to make the combo box record value highlight
the value I have scrolled.

When I try to export a Contact's info to a VCF file the notes section does
not appear. I am running Outlook 2003.
Known problem. SP1 fixes the export, but the problem with missing notes when
you open a .vcf file remains.

method works fine, and the addnew method gets addressed, but new records are
not created. They don't show up in the table.

Our IT recently installed XP on my machine (yes, still using 98!). When
using Excel now, I can add buttons to the toolbar, but once I close Excel, I
lose the one buttons that were added. This was not a problem when using 98.
Is there a default Book1 page that XP is not letting Excel see? Or some

The client has a telemarketer working leads. When the telemarketer has
secured a demo, he converts the lead. At that time, a workflow kicks in and
assigns the newly created account, opportunity, and contact to a different
owner. That part is working correctly. The problem is if the telemarketer
goes to Account and changes the view to Active Accounts, or Open
Opportunities, or Active Contacts, he can see the ones he created from the
Convert Lead process (no other ones). The client does not want this to
occur. The telemarketer should only see the records he is the owner of.

I've just made a runtime version of my database and the user is being
prompted to confirm record changes/deletes. In my frontend the confirm
Record Changes, Document deletions and action queries are all unchecked.
It's only the runtime user being prompted. How do I stop the confirm
prompts from showing in the runtime version?
As a general design rule, I always used:

Since you don't want to do it the easy way you will have to modify the query
that is the report's source.
Personally I would group by month and have a group header with a control that
was set to get the count of records in the group. You can set the visible
property of the header to no so it has no effect on how the report looks.

I recently discovered there are quite a few records that are duplicated
between our RM20201 (RM Apply Open) and RM30201 (RM Apply History) tables. Is
this normal? It would seem that once something gets put to the RM30201 table
it should be removed from the RM20201 table.
If the duplicates in the RM20201 file are, in fact, invalid - how would one
go about fixing the situation?
