IMC crashes sporadically
I have been running Exchange 5.5 (NT 4.0 SP6a) with SP4 for years with very
little trouble. But after we did the end-of-year maintenance (SP and
security updates) we have been seeing the IMC crashing evey 3-7 days.
The event log show the event id 4037.
Other recent changes about the same time frame include Trend Micro eManager
(SPAM controller) was installed and configured and the TrendMicro Scan Mail
(Anti-Virus) was updated.
I have downloaded and will be installing the most recent Exchange update

IMC. That queue is full of messages, approx 8000 per month. These
messages dont appear to be emails but MTA messages. Originator is

Does anyone know if/how the Junk Mail filter in Outlook 2003 can be
completely and permanently disabled. We run a subscribed anti-spam service
at mail server level and the client filter is creating false positives all
the time and causing much unrest amongst my users!

seem to stop things redirecting to the junk mail (backup notifications

It is very irritating that I can only block only one spam at a time.
I can right click on a message and select Junk Email/Add Sender to Blocked
Senders list. but I can't select multiples and do the same thing.
The option doesn't even show up.

blackberry with the blackberry web client. All emails sent to their exchange
also forwarded to a contact in AD with the email address
user@ tmo.blackberry.net All messages get delivered but about an hour

is there any way to connect the blocked senders in a new rule so that it
will all be deleted in my imap accounts. My inbox for my personal folder
works great with spam, but my imap accounts don't do well at all. I was
hoping to make a new rule for my imap accounts so that i could clear out all
the spam i get in them. Anyone have any suggestions on a good way to go

really don't like how that is missing from 2003 along with the junk-email

We have 111 IP addresses to add to the list of hosts that are allowed to
send outgoing SMTP mail...on FOUR Exchange 5.5 servers. So that's 444 manual
444 chances to do it wrong (even with cut and paste).
Anyone know of a way to automate this? Not the getting it wrong,

I have Exchange 2003 running on Windows 2003 (all latest patches and SP).
The server has been running for over a year but in the past month I have
noticed the Public Send Queue at times increase because I monitor that queue.
My understand is that this queue is used for public folder replication. Is
there a way to troubleshoot this and determine what is causing the queue to
increase? Can I determine what folder information is being replicated? Are
there any settings I can check?

I have recently joined my E2K3 to my existing Exch 55 site.
both Exchange servers has IMC installed.
I have changed the cost of the Exch 55 to cost 99 in the Address Space tab
hoping all outgoing email will send through the E2K3 IMC.
But for users on the Exch 55, emails still going out through the Exch 55 IMC
instead of the E2K3 IMC.
Am I missing something here ? How can I make sure and confirm external
emails will sent through the E2K3 IMC ?

I'm using CAsyncSocket to create a client that communicates with a server.
I have used two CList<CByteArray*, CByteArray*> as inqueue and outqueue.
All Received data ends up in inqueue which I loop thru processing each
command in the list. Each 'answer' ends up in outqueue which I also loop

What complicates this is that every 12 seconds I need to send a KeepAlive

1. It seems that mailboxes that have been deleted which still receive
spam are going to current user mailboxes. How do I stop this?

no-longer-in-existance mailboxes, and BCC'ed or CC'ed to your existing

I have 26 messages stuck in this queue and can not seem to find a utility to
view the messages. I believe this queue indicates messages that have not
transfered to SMTP, and are still in the owning mailbox/s.
The Queue viewer shows all queue's at zero. The perfmon counter for this
queue shows that SG2 Mbox Store #4 has all the queued messages...The MTA
