Daylight saving time changes for Exchange 2003 server

Hi guys,

I was wondering how other real life systems administrators are preparing for
the upcoming “2007 global time zone update for Windows” (daylight time change
for exchange 2003 server). I'd like to know what contingency plans are being
planned out to implement this update and what practical ideas you think thus
far are the best. I would greatly value your input.

-Thanks!

GL Change Products
I have to change my GL (reduce number of segments). I have seen the Corporate Renaissance 'Changer' tool. Are there any other similar tools out there? I have heard of 'PST' and 'Modifier', but dont know where to find any information on these. Modifier won't do it; it's not designed for that purpose. I think you meant PSTL (professional services tools library). It has an account modifier/combiner that enables you to combine the activity from two accounts (combiner) or move the activity from one account to another (modifier). CRG's application works...

Printing booklet, changing size
I am trying to print a document with a printer that has the booklet feature. The original is laid out as 8.5 x 11. I can print this as a large booklet using 11x17 paper. I would like to print out smaller booklets using 8.5 x 11R paper. I can do this fine with a PDF file by choosing the paperand checking the box "fit to page". This doesn't seem to be an option in the print driver when I print from Publisher. Is there something else I can do to accomplish this? What version of Publisher are we discussing? Have you tried choosing Letter Size 8.5x11 in your Printer Pr...

Non working time not diplaying in the "View Resource availability"
Hi , I am facing a weird problem with our PMO. We are using Pro server 2003 along with project professional 2003. We are managing our non-working times through a separate project for every team where each team members fill up their own unplanned activities. The problem is with the tracking the vaction time & displaying it in the web page under resource availability view. We are managing the non-working times through each resources individual calendars e.g. blocking the particular days as non-working time. bcp data to change sort order
I have followed the TK "How to BCP Data Out and Back into a New Database (875179)" a few times and it seems to work great. However, when bcp'ng the data back in, I do notice some errors as it flashes by in the dos screen, however, NONE of the .err files show any size other than 0k. After logging into Great Plains, I do notice that some information is completely missing. I check the tables and they are empty. I checked the in and out bat files and those tables are exported, then imported, the table is empty and its .err file is also blank. If the .err files do not show...

Formatting time: eliminate additional :00
I would like to include a time and date together (not the current one, but from the database). Quit Word 2008 in Snow Leopard time ?
I've noticed since upgrading to Snow Leopard that when I quit Word 2008 it takes a long time, as it always had, but now the Menu Bar changes so on the "left" end there is just the Apple icon and then a Script icon next to it (where the running application title is normally). Is this normal or should I go on a search for answers to this and perhaps other yet to see problems? Thanks for any tips. -- Norm Hi Norm: What that means is that Word is exiting and clearing its icons from the menu bar, then the system is cleaning up a bit later. The system owns t...

Every time i open a Word document, my toolbars change
is there a way to 'lock' toolbars such that they don't change every time i open a word document (new or existing)? The toolbar positions are stored in the normal template. The usual cause for such changes is that you are using Word as editor for Outlook, which has a different toolbar configuration. The simplest solution of to use Outlook's own perfectly adequate e-mail editor. -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Wo...

Unable to change default Outlook Font for new message
I have a user who has Outlook 2003 and she is using Word 2003 as her e-mail editor. When she tries to change the default font in Outlook it will not stick after she closed out of the program. If she does not close out, she is able to send e-mails using the new font. I had her try and deselect the option to use Word as her e-mail editor and it seemed to work. Is there another way around this? When she does not use Word as her e-mail editor, her signature file is not formatted correctly. Any help would be appreicated. Where is she selecting the font? Is she using HTML or plain text format? ...

Why is formatting lost when saving from .xlsx to .xls?
I have EXCEL 2007 but most of the people I work with still have 2003 EXCEL. When I create a file and save it as an .xls (2003) file, it loses all the formating (i.e. currency, percentages, color fill, etc..). If I keep the file in 2007 (.xlsx) formt it is okay, but the users I work with can not view it. How do I get the file to retain the formatting when saved as 2003 version of EXCEL? Probably because Microsoft did not test for this before they released the software. Best thing to do in the long term is to upgrade all your users to 2007 so that you do not run into probl...

Exchange 5.5 IMC
Does anyone know where i can change the password or account for the imc connector?? Would like to verify the account/password or attach another account to it. I am having problems with the connector as it won't start and keep getting doctor watson errors. Oh yeah...it is installed on nt 4. Thank you in advance! Mail taking long time to display
We have Outlook 2000's at work accessing our Exchange Servers. We have one client that seems to hang up for awhile before getting her mail. If I send her a message from my office to hers, it takes from 10-25 minutes to actually get to her. If I send it to anyone else, it is immediate. If she sends a message to me, it is immediate. Saving a document
I have OS X 3.2, Office v.X and an iMac. Whenever I try to save a Word or Excel file the save window opens behind the menu and toolbars at the top of the screen. The top portion of the save window, including the field to name the file, is hidden behind the menu and toolbars. I cannot move or resize the save window. Unfortunately this means I can't name my file so I accept the default ("untitled" in Word and "Workbookx" in Excel), save it to my desktop, go to my desktop to rename the file and move it to it's proper location.
