...Restricting Items available for purchase by customer
In SOP order entry is there any way to restrict what a customer is "allowed"
We used to use the price sheet assigned to the customer. When we would
enter an item for the customer if it wasn't in the price sheet it would not
allow an entry. We then implemented EDI and noticed that we were having
errors importing the EDI orders e.g. List Price not found. We worked it out
to be the Base price book, there was nothing configured in there. - we put
all items in the base price book and it cleared all the problems, however, a
user can now enter any item for a custo...Internal e-mail activities are adding up
As people begin to use CRM and send internal e-mails regarding a particular
entity we are seeing a HUGE number of activities adding up. It would be nice
in the future if all internal e-mails regarding the entity would be summed up
into one activity.

What's the rationale behind *not* having the ability to schedule recurring
activities and service items?

When viewing the activities on an account or quote, there appears to be no
obvious way to include the date of the activity in the view so it is

The current release of Microsoft CRM does not allow you to customize the

If you scan the archives of this group at groups.google.com for activity

When my boss opens any of his Office 2007 products it notifies him that his
copy of office is not activated. It has been activated and when I check it
through Options it shows that it is activated, but the dialogue pops up each
time the programs are opened. I have used the FixIt from KB 919895 to delete

the product still doesn't think it is properly activated when it is.

Just configure the Outlook Address Book. It will display as many folders as

I'm using Exmerge and choosing the option to extract 'Items from the

when you use exmerge to extract these items, they will appear in the folders
they were in just prior to being sent to the dumpster...

It doesn't look like I can assign two price levels having different price

Our list price includes GST and markup, so figuring cost backwards from list

There's no built-in support for this, so no, you have to provide some
implementation for this. Have a look on sites such as CodeGuru and
CodeProject, they'll have examples.
I've seen examples, I just wasnt sure if I needed my own ctrl.

I am trying to pull resolution activities and whether they are won or lost?
Which field stores this information?
The Opportunity has a 'state' and 'staus reason' field - you should find
that the State field is what you are looking for the 'status reason' is the
'why' (i.e why you won/lost).

I'm a reporting services developer, and I've been resisting moving
from SSRS 2005 to SSRS 2008 for two reasons. The first is that I
write some pretty complex MDX reports and in SSRS 2008 there is no
syntax highlighting. Furthmore, when I'm adding SSRS 2005 MDX
reports, it throws everything into a big pile, and ruins my spacing,
tabs, etc. I can't even do a Ctrl + A to select it All. Its just
really disappointing that they took steps backward in their code
editor from SSRS 2005 to SSRS 2008.
