[2003] stops before data section in smtp conversation

Hello,

I have an exchange 2003 server with ISA 2004 and the server doesn't send
email correct to a remote smtp server.
After the helo, mail from, rcpt to section he doesn't send the data section.
The server is able to receive email. Does somebody have any clue why I'm
unable to send?

Thanks in advance
Maurice Lucas

Need more info. From the SMTP logs, you need to verify that the remote
server is issuing a 250 OK command following the RCPT To: section. If not,
your server doesn't know it can continue. See below.

Your server - RCPT TO: user@domain.com
Their server - 250 OK - if this isn't present, I wouldn't expect your
server to continue the SMTP conversation.
Your server - DATA

Hmmm. It does look like your server isn't sending the DATA command.

Can you establish a manual telnet session to the remote server and send an
e-mail maually? Test that from both the Exchange server and the ISA server
and see if it works and you can issue the DATA command.

Tested and manually it is possible

ISA server is also the exchange (MS SBS 2003 premium)

Today I'm installing a linux box as smarthost and firewall and reinstalling
ISA.
Hopefully a ISA reinstall will work

Error when sending pub 2003 document as an email
we have a document that we have been sending as an email in publisher 2003 for some time, by using the SEND AS EMAIL> SEND THIS PAGE AS A MESSAGE. This has worked fine for some time, but now something has happened to the document that when you click the send button in outlook you get a message that publisher has encountered an error and needs to close. Outlook then freezes and has to be cntrl-alt-del to kill it off. this happens with the same document on multiple computers, whereas the same computers can complete the task using a newly created document. Anyone seen this before? detai...

Sorting data with cell references
When sorting rows with formulas that refer to other rows is there a way to make sure these formulas refer to the referred cell's new location? eg: cell B10 formula is "=B1" after sorting in reverse order, row 10 becomes row 1 and row 1 becomes row 10 The new formula should now be "=B10" instead it tries to refer to a negative row value. Any way to fix this? It's Excel2000 on XPpro. Google returns "create your formulas after you've sorted the data" which is not helpful. I was working on a large index table which has lots...

Contacts in Outlook 2003 (and other Office 2003 atrocities)
Every time Microsoft does a new improved version of Office it ruins what few features it had before that worked. Going to Office 2003 (from 2000)makes a real mess of almost all of Office (it ruined what formatting I had in WORD -- the numbering goes to some default that MS thinks I *should* want). It also makes it impossible for me to find people (not CONTACTS, these are FRIENDS) I had in my address book in Outlook. For example I used to be able to type in my friends' nicknames, but that doesn't work in 2003 (the nickname is there alright, but you can't retrieve them by typing t...

Clear data button for workbooks
Does anyone know how to create a button or tab that you can click on, in the workbook, that will delete data in the worksheets. I've made an overtime tracking spreadsheet that calculates hours over a 14 week period. (14 worksheets) However, after the quarter or 14 week period is over I currently have to go back and delete all the data hours in the workbook in order to start a new 14 week period. I'd like to create one button(cell) that I can click on that will clear all data for me. Any ideas or advice? thanks, tim ------------------------------------------------ ~~ Message pos...

Outlook 2003 #240
Just installed Outlook 2003, running Outlook 2000 prior. Here is my problem; 1) I launch Outlook 2) Microsoft LDAP window comes up; Server name NULL, PORT 3268, USER NAME NULL 3) Close this window. Then I can press send/receive button, however, it cannot check for new email. In addition, if I create a new email from within Outlook, there is no "send-emal" button. HELP! Thanks.
