Home / Office Desk Power Option failed to turn off LCD screen
Hi, My OS is MS Window XP (Home) Edition. I have set my power option as "Home / Office Desk Scheme" which is suppose to turn off my LCD screen after 10 minutes if the PC remains inactive. You can't. Does the speedometer of your car work while the engine is off and the car is stationary? User Administration #2
I am working on an audit of Great Plains and I have a question regarding users with the ability to add/remove/changes users in Great Plains (Dynamics) 9.0. What privilege(s) must a user be assigned to give them the ability to perform user administration? I see that several users are assigned 'USER SETUP' but then when they go to create a user, it prompts them for a password. Thanks for the help. Tony Yes, that is how it works for us. The user has to have access to the user setup, but then it does have a separate "system password" to be able to enter that area. It is ju...

Merging Excel Spreadsheets Together

Excel Formatted Spreadsheet To SQL ?

Strange business request, ideas wanted.
We have several field operations people who work out in BFE. They have been getting internet/email access through various satellite providers. These people are rarely at the same place for very long which requires them to be constantly changing ISPs. What we would like to do is at least bring their email in-house so it can be journaled in accourdance with corporate policy. The kicker here is that these people are technically challenged to say the least, and the business dept responsible for them wants them to be able to use email without the need for usernames and passwords. Login to CRM as Different Domain User
Good day everyone, I've just installed the Trial of CRM 4.0 so that we can take a look at it. It's working well, and we have several people entering data into it - so far, so good. I have one question though. We have many computers on the production floor that are 'floaters'. In other words, they stay logged on as a default user who has few permissions, and allow our employees to access OWA and a few other Intranet services when they are on the floor and away from their desks. Is there a way to launch the CRM Web client with different user credentials than those tha...

Shut down and power off
I need to make a function that shuts down and powers off a Windows machine. It should work on Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 3.51, NT 4.0, 2000, and XP. Although this may sound easy, trust me, it's not. For some reason, the ExitWindowsEx function will only do a reboot at best on NT 4.0, so I can't just use that. Also, the InitiateSystemShutdown method will not completely power off Win2k, so I can't use just that. Also, since I don't have all 8 of the platforms above to test on, I don't know when to use which method. Any ideas? This is really frazzling me. ExitWindo...
