Hi Dmitri,

Try something like:

'===================>>
Public Sub Tester03()
    Dim rng As Range
    Dim rCell As Range

    Set rng = Selection
    Set rCell = ActiveCell

    'your code, e.g.
    Range("A1").Select

    rng.Select
    rCell.Activate

End Sub
'<<===================

However, the above code would not normally be needed because it is rarely
necessary, or desirable, to make selections,

---
Regards,
Norman

My selection was moved to another sheet by clicking on the precedents arrow
and I want to come back to the analyzed cell.

There are too many dependents! Which one to choose? The dependents paths are
too long for the window where I have to choose.

Distribution Lists
Hi - when I select members (using categories) for a distribution list (and our co's can be large), BOTH the e-mail address and business fax get pulled into the list; we then have to go in and manually select the e-mail recipients. Is there any way to have Outlook pull in only the e-mail address? Thanks You need to clarify what you are trying to do. The standard behavior for the Outlook Address book is to display all electronic addresses (both fax and e-mail). That behavior cannot be changed. The only way to prevent the display of fax numbers is to store them in a different field or to d...

formatting cells
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) I want to make an address list with 3 lines in one cell in each row...How??? Well, I'd strongly suggest that you reconsider doing so. Jamming multiple data items into a single cell seriously restricts how you can use/access the data & may even prevent you from doing what "should be" simple point 'n' click functionality... And once entered improperly trying to untangle it after the fact is a real hassle. Have a look at Step 1 under the Excel Help Topic: Create and print mailing labels. It sounds like what y...

How do I back up autocorrects to CD?
Operating system is Windows Vista. Microsoft Word is 2003. How can I back up my autocorrects onto a CD? Download the template from http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/ExportAutocorrect.htm. Use the backup utility it contains to write your AutoCorrect entries to a document, which you should save to your hard drive first, and then burn that file to the CD. (Don't try to save the document directly to CD, bacause that could corrupt the document.) If you need to restore the entries, run the utility again and point the Restore function at the CD file. -- Regards...

Where Do Messages Go??
If there isn't a kink in my program and it's behaving as it should, I hope someone can answer my questions. Messages disappear. Example: I e-mailed a friend, who e-mailed me back. When I answered that response, I could find no trace of it in "sent mail" or anywhere else, and the item in my inbox maintained its appearance as unread mail. If I click "mark read" it disappears altogether. I've lost several messages this way. Also I seem to be unable to drag a message from one folder to another. It gets lost in the transporter, never to be seen agai...

Write-Back Cache
Is anyone ot there using write-back cache on there ARRAY controllers.? Right now I have an Exchange system using a HP MSA 1000 SAN to house Exchange Databases, stores, etc. I have read in some books and some blogs that you should put write-back cache at 100% on the array controller and there is a great perfromance gain? Does anybody have anything to add? i.e. good idea, how much perfromance increase, etc? Thanks, KJK Write-back cache should only be enabled if the array controller is battery-backed. It should be a decent performance gain. As I understand it, enabling write-back cach...

User Defined Cells counting
Im tryin to find out how could I count a user defined cells (6 rows) containing a string (ex. 2435 Smith Dr) using a formula. Currently, I'm entering the count manually and I know there's a solution how to automate the counting. If the cell is empty the value to be returned for that cell must be 0 and if it contain the string, its value is = 1..This is how I'm approacing it but it doesn't work using the IF function....Thanks I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but you might look at the FormulaExists function. -- Mark Nelson Office Graphics - Visio Microsoft Co...

Backing up and restoring
I am using the built in ntbackup.exe to do backups of our exchange server. When this was setup I used the "online" backup because I was told it was more reliable. This is the one where you simply check the exchange server to backup from ntbackup and it does the rest. Does the online backup also backup everyone's email/calendars or is it only backing up the account information? spamtrap@myplaceinspace.com wrote: > I am using the built in ntbackup.exe to do backups of our exchange > server. Formatt cell
In Excel 2007 I am trying to select an entire column to do the same thing for each line. Column c is hours worked, column d is pay per hour and I want to have column e be the total $ for that day. Giving dialog box control back to user during processing?
Hi, I've developed a basic dialog program using the MFC foundation wizard. Upon pushing one of the buttons, a time consuming processing is invoked, during which the user cannot access the 'Cancel' pushbutton, nor can the processing in question update any fields in the dialog box. It can update the progress bar however. In order to release the window during this time consuming processing to allow the user to cancel the processing, do I have to create a separate thread? Will OnIdol() be a feasible option? Are there any simpler options that I'm overlooking? Thanks Rob On ...

How to hide a cell if a formula returns no value?
HI again all, what I'm after this time is a way to hide a cell by using a formula. This is pretty much solely for formatting reasons so that the sheet can be cut and paste into word from excel without empty cells coming up. I need something like this; cell a1 contains "whatever is entered into cell a1" in cell a2 =IF(a1="",Hide cell a2,a1) not an overly useful example I know, but hopefully you guys get the jist of what I mean, Cheers, =IF(A1="","",A1) VBA Noo -- VBA Noo ----------------------------------------------------------------------...

Price/cost fields need to be able to go beyond 5 decimals.
When we receive product it comes in $ per metric ton, which we convert to $ per lb.. We sometimes receive product in millions of lbs. in one line item, when we convert from $/MT to lb./MT the limit of 5 decimal places in a currency field causes pretty lare rounding errors to occur in our extended cost. This causes our posted cost in GP to be different than what we actually pay our vendors. The ability to extend beyond 5 decimals in the currency field would solve the problem, but for now it is not possible in GP. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsof...
