Linking multpile tasks to the same dateI am attempting to link the same task (review meeting) in multiple sub tasks.
Each of the sub tasks have the same sequence of events (they are tracking
drawing develepment for an item). I would like to have the review meeting
held on the same day for all of the sub tasks. If one of the subtasks is
delayed, I'd like to see the meetings for all of the subtasks adjust to the
flow of the subtask with the latest meeting date based on the task durations
of the delaying subtask. It almost seems like you would need to create a
circular link to get this to work, but that is not al...
links in cells break and revert to user profile locationHoping someone with great wisom can help.... if a user creates links in
a spreadsheet to cells in other spreadsheets... all ok so far!
if he/she then opens the spreadsheet but the linked files are

decides to break the links and revert them to point back at the user's
profile area (C:\documents and settings\etc....)... this is only a

How do I link an image to a cell?
I have a list of addresses in an excel sheet and want to print al
addresses on separate cards.
One of the colums contains several names: i.e Joe, Carol, Will
I want for each row (= address) where the cell contains "Joe" tha
excel prints joe.jpg (Joe's signature) on the card etc.
How do I do this based on this excel-file?
Can I do it using Excel? Or do I need Word? Or publisher or
combination?
I use Office 97 and publisher 97 but could make use of a newer versio

Import of external dataI have done an export of info from the database system and it comes in an
ASCII comma delimated text format. This file contains things such as names
and addresses and a field called description which can contain quite alot of
info per record. It has been exported with quotes around it so in theory it
should all import into one cell. Instead it is splittting it into many
different cells and is virtually unreadable. If I export the data without
this description it will import no problem into Excel and everything will be
in the correct place. It is only when I export the description with it ...

FInding external linkWhen I open a spreadsheet, I get asked if I want to update external links. There
shouldn't be external links in this spreadsheet, so I must have accidentally
left in a formula which I need to change to a value. But I can't find the
offending cell.
How do I search for a formula with an external link in it?

Send to Command - weird issue when using with Mail.appVersion: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Hi,
Weird issue here, my signature has our company logo in it and that appears fine when creating a new message inside mail.
When I use the Word/Excel command: File>Send To> Mail Recipient (as attachment) the new email window pops up with the signature intact, then when the attachment is placed in the message (which it does automatically) it strips the logo image from the signature, but leaves the rest of the text there.
I have the latest updates from MS for Office installed as well.
Any ideas?

Hi John,
This should be pasted in the Word newsgroups, not Excel.
Anyway, if you update the source document then save it, you can get the
target document to update by selecting the linked field and pressing F9.

Linking fields within the same project Playing around an entry table I realized that I can Paste-Link a value from
a custom, calculated field, into a non-custom field, such as duration, and
that the updates propagate reasonably quickly, without needing to save the
file. That seems to circumvent the 'no calculations in non-custom fields'
dogma. Has anybody used this to do calculations for non-custom fields? How
reliable can this be?
No. You still can't get a formula into the built-in field, but your way does
it by the back door.
Some fields are calculated by MSP only, not user input, so you can't do ...

email merge gives lost h-linksHi,
We have an access db containing email addresses and a
word letter containing instructions and hyperlinks. When
we do an email merge, the hyperlinks become disabled in

Is there a setting in security on client or our part that
causes this to happen? How can we send live links?
Thanks.

Is store procedure always fast than Access linked table via ODBC?I was assigned to upgrade one program from Access(using ODBC to connect to

Finally, I tested them and found that ASP.NET is slower than Access.
The mojority job of program is select some data from SQL 2000 tables, modify

Stored procedures don’t add any overhead and they can save compile time.
It's the code in the stored procedure and the underlying tables / indexes

Try OWA. If that doesn't work, you could try an Exchange 4.0 or 5.0 client,
if you can find a copy.

Unable to install Exchange 2003 (5.5 migration, LDAP/DS issues)ADVERTISEMENTHello,
The overall goal is a NT 4.0 migration to 2003along with the
migration the Exchange 5.5 server to Exchange 2003. Since we
can't
do an in-place upgrade from Exchange 5.5 to 2003, we need to install
Exchange 2003 on an interim (3rd) server.then temporarily move

back to it.
The issue is that we are unable to install Exchange 2003 on the
