Empty the Inbox
Is there a better way to empty all messages in the Inbox than holding down
the Cntrl key? Just used the laptop after several months, and it downloaded
all the old emails on the server. Using Windows Outlook Express.
This is not the Outlook Express newsgroup, but anyway: If you want to
delete all the Inbox messages, highlight one header viewing in the Preview
Pane, and Ctrl + A will highlight them all. Delete all in one motion.

Hello - I need help in a chart I'm trying to create. I
am new to this and what I'm trying to do is create a
chart that will show me a set number, and the value of

While installing Small business CRM 3.0 it checks prerequisites first
one is full-text search, second one sql 2005 workgroup edition does
not compliant with CRM (SQL 2005 is coming with Windows Small business
server 2003 R2).

My last 2 posts wouldn't let me post a portion of a sheet with row an
column titles. It would make asking the wuestion so much easier t
show it? I've seen it done. Help please!

If you can explain your problem in plain text, you'll get more reviewers. Many
people won't open workbooks (too many threats of malicious code).
And many people who use a newsreader and access the newsgroups directly (not via
excelforum) won't even see your attachment.

I have one sheet in my workbook named "Work Data".
If this sheet is active, then the following expression

I have a 450 MB pst file, that appears empty in OL98.
I have run scanpst several times, did not help.
I changed the first byte of the file from 21 to 00 with a hex editor and ran
scanpst, it did report errors, fixed them and still no help.
I tried exmerge, which reported succesful import, but did not actually
retrieve anything from the pst file.
Mdbvu32 also shows that the stuff is in there.
It seems that the problem is quite common, but does anyone have
a solution, how to fix it.

i would like to plot a chart that has combination of column trend chart, goal
line chart and a cummulative column chart.
Goal = 1500 for Jan to Dec
YTD= Year to date
If I use the same axis for the column trend chart and YTD column chart, the
chart will be lobsided with YTD column so 'tall'.
Plot the YTD on the secondary (right) axis).

I have deleted all sheets, and contents from my excel
file, but it's still 2Meg in size. When I zip it, it's
only 90K Bytes. (A blank excel file is usually 90K Bytes)
Why is my empty file so large?
It was originally 5 Meg, and I deleted all sheets,
formulas, and VB codes. Right now there is nothing (except
one empty sheet), but the size is still 2M.
Sometimes what I find is that Excel counts unused rows as
part of the file size.
So what I do is highlight all the rows from the first
unused one to the last one, i.e. ctrl+g to bring up the

I'm having difficulties with embedded charts on report figures I produce.
They seem to change scale when I re-open them, so I am always having to
re-adjust when editting them. The text boxes on the figures also move when I
adjust the chart size. I used to get around this in Office 2000 by clicking
the autoscale button in the chart formatting section, however, this box
doesn't seem to exist in 2007.
Any tips ?

Have you been playing with any windows display settings?
In win98, I can change this stuff under:
Windows start button|settings|control panel|display applet
Apply a built in scheme and see if that helps. If it does, you could rebuild
any modifications at your leisure.

i have to add few new entries to the tables\pivot tables the charts are
associated with. the problem is that the charts aren't updated, i have to

...Administrator does not have permission for Full-Text Indexing in 2003
I recently installed a new Exchange 2003 server and can not get
to run. The domain administrator account (also listed as Exchange
with full control) receives a "You do not have sufficient permissions"
when trying to change the
system utilization for full-text indexing. The 'create a full-text
index' is greyed out.
What's wrong? Thanks much for any advice whatever.
