Changing Fill color choices
I have looked at past questions for fill color but I cannot make it work. I
want to change one of the fill color choices permanently. I make the change
; save the file ; close the file ; and when I reopen the file the color has
been reset to what it was before I changed it. How do I change it
From what you posted it sounds like you are doing the right things. Where are
you selecting your Fill color? Any other specifics - All files or just one?
Version, other problems possibly related, etc.

Hover your cursor over a gridline until your cursor turns into two parallel
lines with two little arrows on each side then click and drag...it's kinda
goofy because it will also adjust the outter borders as well, but you'll
figure it out.

Working in Excel, I am looking for help using fill-in boxes.
I am creating a form.
Setting up a cell or a bunch of cells merged where you can enter a question.
Then that question can be answered with a filled-in by clicking in a "Yes",
"No" box. Then a "check mark" appears if their is not one, or, disappears
their is a "check mark" already present.
Or, in the case of multiple responses as noted below.

You can't apply it to all at once - unless you customize the Messages view.

So far, I was able to make a macro to filter data from a project log sheet in
a workbook, and copy/paste the rest of the data in each row based on criteria
in column A to the corresponding worksheets with a name matching the data in
column A on the project log. But now what I need to do is make a macro that
will do basically the same thing, but will instead run on sheet(1) of any
other workbooks with a filename that contains "RetailProjectLog" in a certain
folder location on a network share. Is this possible? If so, how can I do it?
I wish I could attach my sample work...I've applied a Fill and now can't see the gridlines....
Does anyone know how to show the Gridlines through a fill? I've searched and
searched but can't find the answer, yet the silly thing is I know it can be
done as I have done it before (by accident)

I have a Lexmark Z605 and I check gridlines and even
format the cells for gridlines but they do not print.
Microsoft has a knowledge base of the gridlines not
showing on the print preview but still printing , this is
not my problem. The gridlines do not print.
I contacted Lexmark and they suggested to change the
driver to winprint and default type to RAW and to download
the newest driver, neither of these suggestions worked.
They also suggested that I run msconfig under the RUN
program but OS 2K does not have msconfig for me to use. So

Hi I have a form with default view as "Continuous Forms". When I openthis form I only want to see the records equal to Recordcount i.e. ifI have 3 records I should only see three records. I dont want to seean extra one record which is blank. I am not sure of the steps I need to take to load the HR module (we have the
V10 DVD that is not sp3)
Are these my steps?
1. Load the HR module from V10 DVD on SQL Server install (I was told
previously to use the Add/Remove programs option and change but it still asks
for the DVD)
2. Do I need to reload SP3 on server install?
3. Then load the HR module (from V10 dvd) on additional workstations?

I see within the design formats they have autoshape rectangles with part of
it filled with color. There appears to be a dotted line, but no connectors.
The color seams to fill to this line. How do you accomplish this?
The dotted line means there is no line. If you turn off boundaries and guides in the
view menu, the dotted lines disappear. The rectangles are layered. Select the
rectangles and ungroup, click yes. You will see how it all is put together.

In Access2003 when a string does not fit in the ListBox control, I can
left-click on visible part of the string and in about 1 sec a tooltip
balloon will popup and show me entire string.
When is Access 2000 left-click does NOT show that tooltip. Maybe this
is turned off somewhere in Options? I did not find it...

We had a user a number of months ago apply a number of Credit Memos from a
vendor to a large invoice while creating a check. Apparently the check was
then void, without a normal check number leaving us with "REMIT0000000000xx"
as the reference to it. We now have a situation where the large invoice and
all of the credits are still showing in the system as open. The individual
credit memos do not show as having amounts applied, but when we try to apply
them we're told that the amount is already applied. Everything seems to be

These problems usually indicate that you have a corrupted library. To
rebuild it, follow the instructions, specific to your WMP and Windows
version, at http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#medialibrary
Note that rebuilding the library will make you lose all current play
counts, and possibly ratings too.

When trying to schedule a meeting for anyone in/on my network I can't see
busy/free data because it specifies it cannot be retrieved. It only recently
started this in the last few weeks. How can that be fixed? Also, this past

Is there any way to avoid manually applying payments one by one? Our current
process is that we have a cash receipt batch of payments that have declined,
and on a daily basis, it is reauthorized. When the payments are approved,
the payments are posted without applying the payment to the invoice first.
We are using GP 10.
There are several third party programs that address this issue very well.
