Outlook 2000 and RPC over HTTP?Is RPC over HTTP supported by Outlook 2000?
Is RPC over HTTP supported by Exchange Server prior to 2003 (i.e., 2000,
5.5)?
Or, another way to ask:
Must I use Exchange Server 2003, and Outlook 2003 to accomplish RPC over
HTTP?
Thanks,
Thomas
PS: Most webcast and literature state things a in way where I think the
answer is 2003 only (for both OL and Exch), but it would be nice if a KB
article said "not support" on prior version. FYI. Unless, of course, it's
support on those version in which case I'd say that doesn't come across....

excel 2000 #18how can i compare two workbooks in excel 2000
Depends on what you mean?
If you meant how can you compare two worksheets in xl2k, then you could do a
cell by cell comparison (a1 with A1, x92 with x92). Myrna Larson and and Bill
Manville wrote a macro that does this.
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/whatsnew.htm
look for compare.xla
======
Depending on what you're doing, this might work too.
Save each worksheet as .csv files. These files are plain text.
You could use MSWord's compare to help find the differences in values.

Cannot Output .MDI FilesI cannot seem to find a solution yet even after searching the web. I am able
to view .tif and .mdi files through the Microsoft Office Document Image
Viewer. I am able to output a .tif file when I have the printing preferences
setup to that. However, when I try to output a .mdi file, Office asks where
to save as, it then spools, but then disappears. It doesn't save on the
desktop (or other folders selected). Do you know where the issue is?

Access 2000 DB import tables in SQL Server 2000 DBI inherited an Access 2000 database that needs to have tables imported into

Autocorrect shared in Office 2000My boss uses AUTO Correct extensively - he types "QU" and
it autocorrects that with our company logo. He wants to
use this same autocorrect database in Excel, Powerpoint,
etc. He gets mad at ME because I don't know.
Does anyone know if this is possible to do - share the
autocorrect macro/database?
THANKS!
Cory
Autocorrect is already globally shared by Office components.
Look for a *.ACL file on the computer or network. Note where it/they is are.
Perhaps boss is not accessing the proper file.
Add a few things to his autocorrect list and see which *.ACL file updates.

Outlook 2000 will not print certain emailsA customer has a problem with Outlook 2000. Certain emails in her Inbox will
not print, whereas others will. I cannot see a common factor for the ones
that fail, in terms of format (TXT or HTML) or presence/absence of

The symptom is that when you do File | Print, which displays the Printing
Emails dialog box, the (default) printer is greyed out, as are the Page
Setup and Define Styles buttons. This is with the Memo Style layout
selected; if I change to Table Style, the printer and buttons become
enabled.

Difficulty opening files with ExcelI have Excel set as my default program for opening .text and .txt files, but
when I double-click on the files, nothing happens. Excel doesn't open and
my files don't open. I'm using Vista and Office 2007.
You can change the format of the text files by "opening" the text file,
clicking save as, and then on the save as dialog box, click on "save as
type". There should be a file type option that allows you to open that file
as an excel fine if it is set the way you said it was.
Hope this was helpful to you.

Excel 2000 #9Is there a way to change the date format in footers and headers.?.these two
items do not seem to pick up the formatting specified for the individual

David H.
David
Excel in any version uses the Short Date format from Windows Regional settings
in headers/footers.
You can make some minor changes in Regional settings but not too much.
How about a macro to add the date in any format you choose?
Sub DateInFooter()
With ActiveSheet
.PageSetup.CenterFooter = Format(Date, "dddd, mmmm-dd-yyyy")
End With

XL 03 vs XL 97Is the newer version of XL that much better than 97?
I have a copy of Office '03 Student and Teacher edition, but have never

There are several improvements, but not very spectacular ones.
The next version of Excel (due late 2006) will be the biggest change since

missing commas when saving excel as CSVHi,
I have a very strange symptom that occurs when saving a CSV file from excel.
Say the first row has 2 columns and the next 20 rows have only a value
entered into the first column but not the second. When I save this file as
CSV, the first row obviously has a comma between the two values, and the
next 15 correctly have a comma after the value (to indicate that the second
column is empty). However, the 16th and subsequent rows have no comma.
since I'm trying to parse the file with PHP this is a right royal PITA.

Try opening the old files in safe mode. If they open, update your printer/graphics
