I am writing a macro that is supposed to take certain cells from a
"interface" page, remove them, and paste to a string of cells o
another. That is easy, but I cant figure out how to make them go t
another set of cells, if the ones I recorded are filled.

A colleague has a spreadsheet with lots of comments in the cells and
apparently after a while the comments 'disappear'. Does anyone have any
ideas why this happens? Could it be there is a maximum number of comments,
or do they have a life expectancy? The sheet is opened in Excel 2000 & Excel
2003 depending on the user.

Comments don't normally disappear on their own. Perhaps your colleague
is accidentally deleting the rows or columns in which the comments
occur. Or comments could disappear if another cell, with no comment, is

It's more that it is annoying when I close a file by accident and don't

the " " is showing that you want to insert text, and that the text is a
space character. It could be "-" or ".", etc.

B5 I want it to be say B11. So something like B4+7 but

I am working on an application that has more than a dozen of data files.
When the application closes, it uses IStorage/IStream to move them into one
file (IStorage), from the user's point of view. When the application is
started next time, these data files are extracted from the one file. By

I am having a problem with Excel 2007 files losing all formatting
(merged cells, colors, borders, and data formatting (99% turns into
0.99)) when I open a file on our office server make edits and then
save the new file on the server. Each sheet usually has a mix of
locked and unlocked cells and I unprotect the sheet to make edits.
Also, something is fundamentally changed with the file as its size
doubles or triples. If I reopen the corrupted file and redo any of
the formatting and try to save it none of the new formatting is
