Import Data Keeps asking for Password
I have a spreadsheet that imports data from an access database query. The database is password protected (I do have the password). I have gone to the data properties and checked the box that says "Save Password" However, when I refresh the data I get numerous prompts for the databases's password and location. Some of these pop-ups have a password already in them and some do not. I would like to have to where this prompt does not even display and the password is stored to get the new information. The data refreshes only when the form is open suing the following code in VBA. ...

Bookmarks take me away from email
I use "Actions > Send Web Page by E-mail". Then setup the bookmark, and a link to the bookmark in Outlook. This link takes the recipient to the web page (www.webpage.com#bookmark), rather than jumping them to that part of the email. It seems like this should be possible since you can set the link to go to a bookmark. I don't even get how it thinks I would possibly want it to go to a web page. Help is much appreciated! ...

relative import path in public schema
I'm using a public set of schemas for GML, avaiable at www.opengis.net/gml. They all include or import each other but live in a folder hierarchy, so the import statement includes schemaLocation="../xlink/xlinks.xsd". I've written a schema that imports the top level one using schemaLocation="http://schemas.opengis.net/gml/3.1.0/base/feature.xsd". I've also tried downloading it and putting it in the schema cache but in both cases the build fails with 'Cannot resolve the schemaLocation attribute'. calculation taking too long
Currently I have a sheet where I enter my data and then another sheet within the same workbook that makes various calculations based on this data. But every time I enter data, it takes a long time for my formulas to calculate, upwards of a minute. However I need to use A:A in my formulas as my data sheet is indefinitely long and I will continue to add to this over the years. I don't want to have to go back and change all my formulas to A1:A200 every time my data e...

What is Happening? This message is to inform you that Microsoft will soon begin discontinuing newsgroups and transitioning users to Microsoft forums. Why? As you may know, newsgroups have existed for many years now; however, the traffic in the Microsoft newsgroups has been steadily decreasing for the past several years while customers and participants are increasingly finding solutions in the forums on Microsoft properties and third party sites. Logging in taking too long
Why do SOME users' computers on my network take an unusual amount of time to log onto the network? I'm talking 15-20 min long! Not all of them too! This all started when we brought our server to our Austin office, due to Hurricane Rita, and brought it back to the gulf coast. When we brought it to Austin, we had to change settings (don't know what settings); then once we came back... there are some users who take forever to get on the server. Please help. Thank you, -- lfheb Have you checked event logs on both the client and the server? There has to be something in t...

How long will it take for migration?
Hi, I plan to do migration SBS 2003 to SBS 2008. I have about 500 GB data on the source server. and I have gigabyte network. How long it will take for the migration? Will the migration, will users feel the slow open files on server? Will the migration use a lot of CPU or memory? Thanks in advance! Lisa Hi Lisa (again <g>) The acutal moving over of the data files is trivial. It will take a few minutes to an hour. The real time consumer here is the moving of the exchange mail and public folders, which can take days. If you want/need a more accurate estimate of ...

Outlook 2003 look and feel
Hi, I am using Outlook 2003 on windows XP and the screen looks funny. For e.g. when I try to create a new email, I can see the text for From, To etc, but I don't know where the fields start, unless I click on the field. It is just like having a From, To labels on a paper without knowing where to write the From and To information (Text Area). Is there any setup required to change the look and feel of Microsoft Office 2003 so that these fields reappear? These fields are there, and I can type into these fields. But I don't know where they are unless I click on them. Thanks Saji....

Looking Up Values
I have a database used to record results of laboratory tests, the tests are standard but the priced paid by the customer can vary. Currently I have a standard price included as a field in the Test Table but this is difficult when prices increase across the board as I have to close down the existing test and re-input it with the new cost, also I have to have a routine whereby a form is used to manually enter any alternative prices before a routine is run to invoice the customer. I would like to create some method whereby Access would look for the current price charged to that customer i...
