Pivottables #2

My PivotTable has 8 fields in the data area.  They are yearly totals and 
%'ages.  If I deselect a field in the Data drop-down, it disappears from the 
list and cannot reselect it again.  I need to re-add the field back to the 
data area.  I would like my users to be able to select/deselect from the data 
list so they can look at one year's totals or all the years' totals.  I 
noticed if I deselect one of the entries in my rows or columns sections, the 
field remains, but unchecked.  Is there anyway to do it with the data field?

If you uncheck an item in the data dropdown list, it's removed from the 
pivot table. There's no way to retain it in the data field list.

To get it back, you can drag it in from the field list.

I have a spreadsheet that I add new data to weekly. Is there a way to have the pivottables/charts refresh to include this data without recreating them? If I try to do extend the range of cells used to create them originally, I am unable to group dates (which I need to do) on the chart because of blank cells. I am running the code below in a .xlsm '07 spreadsheet. The problem I'm having is the code runs painfully slow and I can't figure out why. As soon as it starts my CPU usage spikes up to 52%, 51% of which is EXCEL.EXE. Outlook 2002 hangs on startup #2
This just started happening on Monday morning after installing the latest office updates. Outlook opens but hangs on the splash screen. Computer is a Dell GX-260 P4 1.7 GHz, 256 MB Ram and 60 GB HDD. hi, I created a pivot from a dataset. This was no problem at all. In a later stadium I changed the recordset where the pivottable is based on. For example i replaced all the records containing pete into mike in the column <NAME>. When refreshing the pivot it now contains both mike and pete. Pete is redundant, because i no longer exists. We use Windows 2000 and Microsoft Office 2002. One person in our network (Windows NT) cannot print from the internet or from Outlook if the message comes in in HTML. He can copy things from the net, paste them to Word and then print. He can convert a message from HTML to plain text and it will print. Is there a setting somewhere that keeps HTML content from going to a printer?
