changes the date column. For example, if I cut a row that shows a date of

I've checked to make sure there isn't any conditional formatting of some

I'm working on a ticketing spreadsheet with serial numbers in one column
(derived from a formula). When I copy the serial number & paste it, I also
copy the formula. Using paste special and selecting the values option I can
get the serial number to paste into a cell without the formula.
I also need this value to be placed in clipboard memory to I can use the
value in an older windows program.
Is there any way to run a macro, vba, etc. that will do this for me?

I'm trying to copy a graph from a working spreadsheet into another workbook
and I just want to paste it as a bitmap. However, "Paste Special" is grayed
out. What would cause that and can I fix it?
Why - because that's the way Microsft programmed it.
1. Hold down the Shift or Ctrl key and select the chart, copy it, move to
the other file and choose Edit, Paste Special. (bit map is not an option
but this may be satisfactory.
2. Select the chart normally and THEN hold down the Shift key and open the
Edit menu. Choose the command Copy Picture and ...Pasting all but Column widths doesnt get pasted.

pasting the grid lines...I do not want the grid lines to show...I have been

Make sure the gridlines aren't visible in Excel.

I am hoping that someone can help me with two problems I am having in
Excel 2007. The functionality of copying and pasting to and from
filtered lists seems to be different from what I experienced in Excel
