Password protected sheet access

I have a spreadsheet protected with a unknown password.
How do I access this sheet?

Ps: the "read only" option is not available.

Thanks, Rivane.

Hi Rivane

Is this the password for opening the file, or the one for unlocking locked cells in the
already open sheet ?

Best wishes Harald

Hi Rivane,

Don't worry, there are many simple tools available online that can
find the password in any Excel file. Some tools are free or very
cheap.

I quote from a recent post which I hope may prove helpful to you...

Please do not attempt to access a file unless you are authorised to do
so.

Hi, The original spreadsheet was a price list which included product code, price, and other info. I can convert all of the columns except for the price column which is called "List". I tried to solve the problem by copying the "code" and "List" columns into a new spresdsheet and change some of the settings for the "List" column including changing the format to general number, wider column, ect. The code column will convert when tried alone. The List column will not. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Ken I suspect that "List" is a rese...

Keep user passwords
Hi! We've just finished installing a new Exchange server and connecting it to a separate DC. We used to have everything on the same server but we'd like to be able to scale our solution better in the future - therefore the new setup. Users are primarily connecting to Exchange by means of RPC over HTTP from clients that are not part of our AD. The old setup allowed users to save passwords if they configured their clients to use NTLM authentication and followed the directions in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;820281. how to key in one table and show in another tables in Access 2003
I have many tables how can I link them together and as I type certain information in the master show in the other tables. You should not duplicate data in different tables. This constitutes redundancy and leaves the database open to the risk of inconsistent data. Tables should be related to each other by a foreign key column or columns in one referencing a primary key column or columns in another. Non-key columns should only be in one table. The process of eliminating redundancy in tables is known as 'normalization'. Here's a brief description of how it works: Normali...

Spreadsheet password protection
How do you password protect a spreadsheet. I can't find anything in the help section. You can prevent un authorised access by giving a password to open the workbook itself, so that no one else can open it (Go to Tools, Options and then Security Tab). You can do it there if you have already saved the file, or you can go to "save as" then "Tools" and "General Options" where you can give password. On the other hand you can protect work sheets and ranges for different people by using "Tools" and then "Protection" Tab -- M Imran Buha...

How to refer to current sheet in a formula
I want to have a named formula which always refers to a cell on the sheet it is on. When I define the formula it is automatically changed to refer to the sheet active when I defined it. E.g. =$B$2*3 becomes =sheet1!$B$2*3. This is no good for use on sheet 2 where I want the formula to refer to that sheet's $B$2 (equivalent of sheet2!$B$2). I have tried entering =!$B$2*3 which works initially but recalculates using the $B$2 on the sheet active when the recalculation is done. -- Poxypig ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Poxypig's Profile: http:/...

protecting data when updating/importing
I have text files that are updated every day via a mobile link (SIM card). Each text file is also automatically imported into an excel spreasheet (upon opening the spreadsheet) so that I can look at graphs of the data when I want to. This all seems to work fine, but one day half of the data failed to be updated via the mobile link.
