Exchange Outlook hanging
Hope someone has seen this before . .
I am running Exchange 2000 server for 8 different location. About 100
clients. Four of the sites are connected to the main site (which
houses the Exchange server) over a VPN. The other three remote sites
were connected via fame relay. The Exchange server uses the VPN router
as its default gateway and there are static routes assigned pointing
to the other three remote sites out a different gateway.
Everything was working about 75% under this configuration. Outlook
would from time to time delay in sending email, hang on startup,

Hi. I was wondering if there was a way to hide the formulas in cells without
protecting the sheet. I am making something for other teachers at my school
and I want to hide the formulas so they won't mess anything up on the
spreadsheet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I found an article which describes how to setup a folder to view any file
system folder in Outlook 2002. I can't find any equivalent in Outlook 2003.
Basically I just want to have an Outlook 2003 folder named something like
"my files" and have its address pointing to a mapped drive. I have tried
setting up a "home page" location on a folder, but it only works for web
addresses, not file systems. Thanks in advance.
At the bottom of the Navigation pane, you should have buttons for Folder
List, Shortcuts, etc. Select the Folder List button.

...Excel slow on saving
Ever since downloading (28/09) Office 2003 Service Pack2 the larger Excel
files have taken a while (some 10 seconds) before starting to save to disk.
I have put this down to something in SP2 - although it may be coincidentally
something more sinister.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Spare a thought for moi,
my excel 97 currently is using 40sec to over a minute to save.

I am using Win XP Pro & Office 2003 on the pc terminals
Server has exchange SBS2003 running on it.
When I try accessing the web access for outlook exchange, it does ask for
login details and once it is logged in all the pic files and the program
icons etc including the emails don't load up.
I have tried it internally to use web access and it is all working just fine
but the problem comes when I am trying to access it from an outside service
(e.g.: an internet access shop on a high street without any firewalls)

I am using a form for people to select data via dropdown menus and then
having it run through a query to filter results. Is there a way that I can
have certain feilds hidden until a toggle button or something of the like is

As far as I know, if you sort it after filtering, you'll only sort the
filtered data, not the whole data set. If you want the whole data set
sorted, you'll need to do that before filtering.

I have 3 computers networked at my house. I have comcast
dsl and have all my email going to Outlook epress. 2
computers have Windows 2000 and one has XP professional.
Question: why are incoming messages coming messages
showing up on each computer in OE but the sent messages
and contacts are exclusive to each computer? Is it not

wife and I each have a seperate user account on the same computer. I would
like to set Outlook as my default email program and my wife would like to
continue using OE as her default program. Each time I change a default
setting on on account, it seems to change the same setting on all accounts on

My computer runs Windows 7, and I would like to import messages from Outlook
Express(My old computer that ran WinXP). I have the .dbx files archived to
an external drive, and copied and pasted them to a folder on the windows
desktop. When I run the import function in Outlook 2007, I can't get it to
point to the folder where the messages are stored. I have a feeling this is
not going to work with Windows 7, but if it can, please let me know what I'm

I have inserted images into cells, but when I hide the column the images
are not hidden with that column, they just get squished between the two
cells next to the hidden cell. Is there a setting or way to tie the
image to that cell so that it hides/unhides appropriately with the row?

Is there a way to insert an HTML signature in Outlook 2007? Because if you
go to Tools -> Options -> Mail Format -> Signatures, you can create some in
the embedded editor, but there is no way to do some *REAL* HTML editing (ie:
a table, image, etc).

When I try to look at some email messages in Outlook, I get prompted to provide MS FrontPage disc as it tries to open FrontPage. I do have FrontPage installed. I can quickly hit cancel and get around it but is there a setting or something that can prevent this from happening?
