Formula error?
Hi,
I'm having some problems with a formula I want to use. I hav
entries linked to another sheet that based on the number will b
divided by another number from the linked sheet. The problem is tha
the answer does not come out right.
Example:
Cell B32
=SUM('Cheese Vat Sheet'!C12:C15) (18000 example)
should be divided by
Cell D32
='Cheese Vat Sheet'!G3 (2 example)
if
Cell B32>0
=IF(B32>0,B33/D33,"")
the result is coming out as 9455 for some reason. Is there anythin
else I need for the formula?

Shouldn't the function be =IF(B32>0,B32/D32,"") not =IF(B32>0,B33/D33,"") Dunca -- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com
DNF.Karran.15dd1aIt would depend greatly on what is in B33 and D33; you have only
provided B32 and D32.
Assuming that either the 32s or 33s are a misprint and refer to the same
cells, then ='Cheese Vat Sheet'!G3 probably contains approximately 1.9,
but is formatted to display no decimal places. Try formatting that cell
as General to see what is really there.
Formatting changes the display, but not the actual value (and therefore
not the result of calculations with the value). If you want to
calculate with the rounded value, you must either explicitly round, as in
=IF(B32>0,ROUND(B33,0)/ROUND(D33,0),"")
or else go to Tools|Options|Calculation and check "Precision as displayed"

Appending or Up-dating a formula
I am using an =Ave function in a formula to average quite a few cell values together. I add new information all the time; sometimes 5 or 6 new cells at a time. How can I append or up-date my formula to include these new cells with out have to type the new cells into the formula? When I make the cell that has the formula in it active/edit, all of the cells that are referenced in the formula have a highlight around them. Changing a range of an array in a SUMPRODUCT formula gives a #N/A error
I have a working SUMPRODUCT formula {=SUMPRODUCT(($C$4:$C$4341=z8)*(audittypefm1="Standard"))} that I need to change the 1st array to C5623. When I do I get a #N/A error. I've tried giving the range a name (empnofm2), and I've verified all the data in the C4:C5623 range is formated the same (general, it is all employee numbers from 2 to 5 digits long. Hi, What formula should I use if I want it to look at a specific cell and then work out the total number between two numbers. e.g. if cell H6 had 7-4 entered the number 9 would be returned. GP Upgrade--9.0 to 10.0-Registration Error
I installed GP 10.0 on test server and created the new company to much current production environment which is Gp 9.0. I can easily log in to Gp but it thinks it's trail version and that i have 90 days to register. I tried using my GP 10.0 License Keys to register but get error "invalid license keys". HELP! error message with sum
(New user) In my spreadsheet, I have four columns, each with a 0 or a 1 in each cell. The last cell in each column is "total" with formula =SUM(A3:A68), with appropriate column letters for each particula one. The columns get totalled correctly, but each of the "total" cells has a green triangle. The error message is: "the formula in this cell refers to a range that has additional numbers adjacent to it." GP 10.0, BP 4, 2-IIS Servers running WNLBS, WSS 3.0, Separate SQL 2005 Cluster. I just installed the BP. It comes up and I can configure users/security, but I can not see any data on the Sales/CustomerSummary/CustomerList or Inventory/Items/ItemList - both lists show the message "Query Error." prefixed by a red-x-circle in the blue footer bar of the lists. AD User Account deleted, now Authentication Errors
An admin deleted the AD account for a user. We recreated the account in AD but the user cannot access CRM 3.0. He gets an error that says Authentication Error, whenever he tries to access CRM. I see that CRM is keeping track of the users GUID in a table. At least I think that's what I'm looking for. here's my situation: I've got a sheet where there is a variable (X) that changes depending on what row it is on. So I have a column (column c) that lists these variables (X is dependant on things from a different sheet). X is a muliplier that is utilized differently depending on the value of N. I am trying to set a value to a textbox on a subform from a selection in a popup form. The textbox is bound to a table field (which is a foreign key / number field). The listbox on the popup returns a number. For e.g lets take your formula =G8*($A$14*2)*100 suppose you enter this formula in cell B2, now simply copy this formula one cell to the right (C2) by and one cell down (B3). Hi I've set up CRM 3.0 and everything seems to work fine, but when i got to SETTINGS > ORGANISATION SETTINGS > SYSTEM SETTINGS I got an error message " Error, Contact your system administrator for more information" other part of the settings are workink like SETTINGS > ORGANISATION SETTINGS > Auto Numbering What could be wrong? Run-time error on setting textbox
I am trying to set a value to a textbox on a subform from a selection in a popup form. The textbox is bound to a table field (which is a foreign key / number field). The listbox on the popup returns a number. When I do: Forms!frmMainform!frmSubform.Form!txtNumber = Me.lstbox I get the following error: Run-time error 2448 You can't assign a value to this object I have another very similar form where I am able to set a value into a bound textbox. DCOM error Event ID 10016
On my Windows 2003 SP1 with Exchange 2003 SP2 I get a lot of Dcom error 10016 at startup. They eventually stop and the server seems to work fine afterwards. However, i would like to get this resolved. What does the $ symbol mean in a formula? example: =G8*($A$14*2)*100 thanx The $ is used for absolut referencing. For e.g lets take your formula =G8*($A$14*2)*100 suppose you enter this formula in cell B2, now simply copy this formula one cell to the right (C2) by and one cell down (B3). C2: =H8*($A$14*2)*100 B3: =G9*($A$14*2)*100 So you see that The original G8 has changed, whereas $A$1 remains the same in both the new formulae because of the dollar signs.
