When I try saving a MICROSOFT EXCEL File with Thai
Characters as TAB DELIMITED, the resulting file when
opened with NOTEPAD does not show THAI instead it shows
QUESTION MARKS like ( ????? ).
If anyone know how to fix this please let me know, your
help is appreciated.
I used windows XP and have configured the input languages
for Thai Keyboard, I dont run a Thai OS but in a machine
with THAI OS the same thing is happening.
You would have to have a proper codepage to see a THAI
alphabet. Also some languages use double byte characters.

I have a coworker whose Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V shortcut keys do
not work in Excel XP. No one else in our work group has
this problem. We checked with our IT support person and
he is stumped as well. He can right-click and copy/paste
that way...but cannot copy/paste using the shortcut keys.

Do you still have the problem? If no, then maybe there's a "helpful" macro
that's stealing your ctrl-c/ctrl-V's.

preferences you can set the entry key, we have always set it to the "TAB"
key ... but in Dynamics GP version 9.0 and prior for example when you enter
an account number into the Detail inquiry window and press the tab key, the

There are only two ways I can think of that can prevent Ctrl-d from acting
to do a fill down. One is if an external program intercepts that keystroke
before it gets to Excel. The other is if, within Excel, that keystroke has
been assigned to a macro. One way to check the latter possibility quickly
is to start Excel in safe mode. From Start->Run enter "excel.exe /s"

OK, I have CRM 3.0 working and everything seems to be running fine except for
access to the settings tab on the client.
For some reason when I'm logged in as an Small Business Server 2003
authenticated user when I load up CRM in a web browser the "Settings" tab is
not there. My role is an administrator.
However if I logon locally to my computer and not as an authenticaed SBS
user I point my browser to the server and it asks me to provide my login
details as I'm not authenticated. When I do so through the CRM interface I
then get the Settings tab showing!

I use ctrl shift end to select a range of data which
works well most of the time. But I often import a large
spreadsheet that I have to cut and paste to reduce to a
much smaller size. My problem is that even if all the
surplus data is deleted when I use ctrl shift + end to
select the data range it still remembers the original
range and not the smaller reduced range.
I have tried clearing cells, deleting cells but to no
avail. The only way I have found to work around this is
to copy the revised spreadsheet to another sheet. Does

The way I handle this in my application is like the following. This does
not disable the tab, but it removes the text. Then I have other code in the
property sheet that detects if the disabled tab is selected and makes the
next tab active instead.

I've involuntarily upgraded to Excel 2002/XP. It has lots of lovely
security settings when protecting worksheets. When I _UN_check 'Select
locked cells' when protecting worksheets, the [Ctrl]+[PgDn] and
[Ctrl]+[PgUp] key combinations then function no differently than
[Alt]+[PgDn] and [Alt]+[PgUp] (so the same as they did back in Excel 4
and prior), paging right and left within the protected worksheet rather
than moving between worksheets.
If this isn't a bug, I don't know the meaning of the term. Has anyone
else come across it? There's no mention of it when searching *...Cannot insert/move/copy tabs

save the doc, just not change the sheets
Sounds like the workbook is protected. Go to Tools on the menubar,
then Protection. Unprotect the workbook. James
