Mega Newbie
MS Exchange V5.5 with Outlook 2000 clients. The size of our exchange databases seem to be growing at a serious rate. I believe that the files priv.edb and pub.edb are the user folders and public folders respectively - can someone confirm this please? Our file sizes are 1Gb for priv and 3Gb for pub. This means at least some users have a serious allocation for their user folders - total number of users approx 30! Is it possible to examine the system via exchange to find out which user's folders are taking up all the space? TIA Phil Hi There, >-----Original Message----- >MS Ex...

why "formatting" is not auto-updated?
Why is it that when i format some cells (containing numbers) as text, the formatting is not applied immediately? I've had to "F2 + enter" each cell to get the changes to take effect. What am I doing wrong? Changing the format of a cell tells excel to change the way it's displayed--not change the value of the cell. To change the value of the cell, you need to reenter the value (F2|enter is sufficient). If you have lots to do, you could use a helper column: =a1&"" drag down convert to values (copy|paste special|values) and delete the original column. Or yo...

Outlook 2002 name checking problem
I am using Outlook 2002 with an imap setup. I check my recipient's emails against two address books - first my personal contacts list (outlook address book) and then against an active directory ldap server. Does any Office X program PID check need to close a new port?
Does Microsoft Office X SR1 need to CLOSE a new port each time it checks a PID and one quits any MS program? Since installing Apple's Security Updater 7-14-03 (with OS 10.2.6), my firewall program reports the closing of a different 3000-range port immediately after quitting ANY Microsoft program. Apple's higher-tier tech support personnel had me run several procedures, including creating a new test account, to verify this was happening only with Security Updater 7-14-03. Symantec Norton Personal Firewall 3 .0 higher-tier tech support personnel said they were aware of Microsoft PID ...

After an on line update on my checking account, my opening balance in money is 20.00 more than the same date from my bank statement. This was correct before the update. How to check number of sent/receive mail messages per user?
Hello, Does anyone know how can I get a list of the number of sent/received messages per user fo all users in exchange 2003? two checking accounts data downloads to just one of the accts
I have two checking accounts with our bank and when I download transactions into Microsoft Money for either account, all the transactions go to only one of the accounts set up in Money. I was prompted for the first download to our "main" account. Then when I went to download for the other account, I wasn't prompted where to download to... and all the transactions went into the first account. Did that make sense? My bank required we switch to Money from Quicken, so I am new to this. Tried to search in users guide and online for help. Help would be much appreciated - ...
