I am trying to import a comma delimited text file which contains among
other information, a numeric part number (ie 00123). I surround the
part number with quotes and import indicating use quotes a text
qualifier. No mater what I do, Excel still refuses to import this data
as text, it always converts it to a number (123). This is an issue
because this Excel file will be going into another program which will
be using that field in table relationships. Can't fix it after the
fact because all of the part numbers are different (00123, 0001.,

to efficiency. I would like to use a form to select the table or query to
use and have one query that I can use as the primary datasource. Is this
possible? If so, how?
Have a form with two (three) subforms, each subform with data from one of
the table. If there is no link between the data, have no parent-child link
(or even have no table for the main form).

I know how to execute this script on MySQL, MS Sql Server, but don't

I have a document that looks like the below. In the .NET 2.0 days, I
might use an XmlDomDocument to read the whole thing to see if it is a
basically good XML document. Then I might step through it with a

I am trying to create a monthly inventory report that lists the Product
Name, Beginning Balance, Sales, Purchases and Ending Balance, which is a
calculated field, in rows sorted by product name.
My problem is getting all the information from the Beginning Balance query,
Sales query and Purchases query to list all the information from all 3
queries even if there is no data for one of them. I can make this work with
only 2 queries, but I can't seem to make it work for 3 queries.

We have a chart with 2 data series - Budget & Actual. We want to show all 12

I have created a button in a form that will be used to search from a table.
I have three different queries made to search from that table. When I push
the button to run the macro which in turn runs the 3 individual queries, it
just creates the results in 3 individual windows. I would like it to save
the results all in one window, how can I do this? Thanks much in advance!

I am trying to perform a select query to select all records that are NOT in
both tables. So I have tblPROJHIST and tblWMSNEW and they both have project
# fields. What I am trying to do is find all the new project # records in
tblWMSNEW that are not in tblPROJHIST and put them in tblPROJHIST.
If the tblPROJHIST project # field is a unique index or primary key field,

I click Edit/GoTO/special/ data validation/ Same and several
cells are found. With these cells still selected, I click
menu item Data/Validation and receive the warning "The
selection contains more than one type of validation. Erase
current settings and continue?"
Why would these cells have been selected if they had

Does anyone know of a macro or add-on that I could use as a simple timer for
queries? I don't like to use the CPU time in the Task Manager because of
it's inaccuracy when not receiving full CPU usage.

Exactly what are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to cause a query
to run automatically every so often? If so, you will need to use the timer
event on a form to do that.
