About the only supported method for doing this would be to do something with a
post-callout, but that would not get feedback to the user in a very timely
manner. There are some address verification products that you could try, I know
Quick Address (qas.com) has one that ties into MSCRM.

You can create a button on the toolbar that when clicked, can look for the
address and then fills the corresponding fields on the main form using
javascript for example.

You have a number of options:
1. Buy the Postal Address File from one of their resellers such as QAS or
Capscan and buy their MSCRM integration. I have used QAS and seen Hopewiser
and both are good
2. Use a postcode/address lookup web service and a) use javascript or b)
postcallout or c) third party utility to spot postcodes being entered

I use Postcode Anywhere www.postcodeanywhere.co.uk webservice on a pay per
click basis and their Postcode Anywhere Desktop utility which is a free
download. I have a config file for postcode anywhere which enables the
desktop utility to integrate with MSCRM.

Having same behaviors for CRM users as for contacts
Hi, We need same behaviors for CRM users as they exist for contacts. Specially concerning marketing lists. Our customers frequently have to broadcast a newsletter or a document to a panel of external AND INTERNAL contacts, amongst these internal contacts, lot of them are crm users. The only solution to days is to duplicate these CRM users in a contact entity, but there are a lot of undesirable side effects. 1) mail tracking is no more running (same address in contact and user leads to no tracking!) 2) confusion in the mind of crm users concernaing the place where is their history record...

CRM 3.0 & Office 2007 install problem
I've installed the Office 2007 CRM update. When I try to install the desktop version of CRM I get an error that Outlook needs to be opened first to set up the profile. Can CRM 3 be installed stand alone? i.e. no seperate server side
I am wondering if this app could be installed on say a single laptop without having a seperate server to connect to. This might be a dumb question but I still need an answer. Thanks Mike No, I'm afraid not. The server is the application and that is what it's all about. Using Windows Service and CRM
Happy Holidays, All! This isn't covered in the SDK, that I can see, but we have a service running that needs to query the CRM database (using the SDK) - but it is running on an application server out side of CRM. We can do this with impersonation, using an existing user in CRM - but the password needs to be hardcoded that way - making it necessary to revisit the applicatin every 90 days... Any other thoughts on how to run a windows service against CRM? Thanks! Kristina Kristina, Ideally (and technically, legally), the service sould have it's own ID. What we've done though i...
