Upgrading to CRM 3.0 Problems

Hello,

We're upgrading from CRM 1.2 to 3.0 and are coming across an error we can't
get past.

After entering all the information it brings up the system requirements
screen where it goes through everything to make sure the install will be
smooth. Everything checks out except for IIS. The exact error is "The Web
site's NTAuthenticationProviders must be Negotiate,NTLM"

We've researched the error on the web and found the adminscripts command to
make the site Negotiate,NTLM and the get command does show it to be just that
but when we restart IIS and start the install again we get the same error.

Any idea would be greatly appreciated on this topic as I'm totally out of
ideas on this one.

Thanks,
Pat

I ran into this same issue. What I finally did in frustration was uninstall
IIS, re-install and re-apply SP1. i don't know if SP1 would have been
necessary to do, but I figured it wouldn't hurt. Now successfully got past
this error, but receiveing a DB error :-(.

Good luck

I am seeing the exact same issue - Patrick, have you found a solution less
painful than Neil's?

Thanks

Problem solved!

Needed to set this attribute at the w3svc\1 level, not just at w3svc\

Error disappeared.

Hi Scott, (or others)

Can you tell me what command you used to fix this? I tried ;

cscript adsutil.vbs set w3svc/NTAuthenticationProviders "Negotiate,NTLM"

and did an IISRESET, but that didnt work.

Money 3.0 XP and Networking Query
Hi, I have a client who is using money 3 for personal purposes for keeping track of shares and dividends and such. I realise Money 3 is very old (looks like it was for windows 3.1!) but he does not wish to upgrade to a newer version of money which is more complicated and has many features which he will never use. My questions are: 1] Will money 3 work reliably in XP? 2] Has anyone tried using money 3 over a network? i.e. sharing the file and using it on different computers (it would not have to be at the same time).? Upgrading the CPU?
I was thinking about possibly upgrading my current 1.6 GHz CPU on my Dell Desktop with a faster 2.2 GHz CPU (which is compatible and available), but I had a couple of general questions: Would upgrading the CPU would require some, or perhaps most, apps to need to be reactivated again, due to tripping some copy protection features of the apps?
