Unresolved issues in upgrade 1.2 to 3.0 - Impossible to update for

Since our upgrade from CRM 1.2 to 3.0 we have not been able to resolve an 
issue with updates of forms. It is today not possible to upgrade the 
mainforms for Accounts and Contacts which causes a great frustration. 

When I am about to make a change to form and add a field, I receive the 
following fault message:
Line: 193
Character: 0
Error: Object required
code:0
URL:http://crm.synergus.local:5555/Tools/FormEditor/Dialogs/addfields.aspx

With a question do you want continue run this script. 

In our attempt to resolve the issue, we have:
- Done a repair of the installation
- Exported and reimuported the customisations
- Taken away all the characters å, ä, ö (Swedish characters) in the 
customization and then reimported.

The problem remains.

This is the history of the problem. It all worked fine after the initial 
upgrade to 3.0.

The problem came after I one day took a way one of the fields in the 
accounts that was not relevant. Since then it has not been possible to add 
any fields.

We have been struggling for this for more than a year now without any 
resolution. 

Does anyone have any idea of how to resolve this?

Hi,

What was the field you removed?

Did the field have a mapping with another entity - i.e. from account to 
contact?

Do you have any Jscript that references the old field on the account form?

When you removed the field did you publish the entity customisations?

Hi Peter,
thank you for your response.

- The field that I removed was "bit-field" that I previosly had added in the 
account/contact (during 1.2). It was used to have yes/no if a person 
registered for an event

- No mapping between different entitys

- I am not aware of any Jscript. 

- When I made the change I published the section that had been changed. I 
have also done a "publish all changes"

Hi,

Two options possible. One try to do a re-installation on a Virtual PC using 
the existing databases - this may clear the problem where a repair install 
didn't. Otherwise I would strongly recommend raising a support incident with 
MS.

Pete,
thank you for your suggestion. In an desperate last attempt this morning I 
took away all custom attributes that no longer was used in the forms. Once I 
had made this change, it is back up and running.

When opening acrobat reader, it asks for the microsoft publisher 2003 cd. When you insert the cd the file it is looking for cannot be found. Odd Issue
Exchange 2003 on native 2003 AD. I am really baffled. I have a distribution group called school admin. It has 2 users in it, Jodi and Mark. When someone (anyone) makes a calander event and adds School Admin to the attendies, Jodi gets the request, Mark does not. Here's the wierd part. Beth and Robyn, are not on the DL, are not connected to that school. Beth get the invitation and whoever sent the invite gets a NDR about Robyn. I have deleted the DL and recreated it. Since the users upgrade Great Plains from 7.5 to 9.0, they facing the alignment issue on Remittance Report (Check Remittance). But, the problems occur not consistent.
