POP3 won't allow you to do it. POP3 handles the Inbox only. Talk to your
Exchange Administrator about setting up RPC over HTTP (which, as I
understand it, isn't as easy in 2003).

We have a requirement to migrate out Lotus Notes to Outlook 2003. Me
and my team has never done such a migration. Can someone please help

deploy (i.e tools or something else)?
A best practice for such migration, if possible.
...Recover single email from Exchange 2003
I need to recover a single email from a 20gb Exchange 2003 database! We do
online backups so I do not have a "flat file". Can someone please post some
links (possibly a step by step guide) so I can achieve this for my boss.
Many thanks in advance.
In brief (you don't specify circumstances):
Create a recovery storage group, assign the mailstore the user is on to it.
Restore the database from a full backup from a time you know the mailbox had
the message in.

I have a client with SBS 2003 but isn’t utilizing any SBS functions (don’t
ask me why they have SBS… it wasn’t me). Now they have an app that (based on
the vender) cant run on an SBS server. How do go about doing this? I don’t
care about ripping out SBS but I need to preserve AD. What would happen if I…
1)Uninstall SBS? a)Would it remove AD (as the sbs is the only domain) or is
AD not a SBS role? b)Would it become a regular Windows 2003 std server

I recently had my office laptop upgraded from Office 2000 to Office

doesn't do that either.
Anyone else encounter this? How does one "fix" this?

I just upgraded from Office 97 to Office 2003. Using
Outlook 97, my wife and I were able to use different
computers but share one email account. The same mail was
downloaded to each PC one time. Now, the same mail gets
downloaded over and over again on each PC. I obviously
can choose to delete the mail from the server so that it
only gets read once, but then the second PC will never
see it. How can I get the same behavior from Outlook
2003 that I used to have? Reading 500 messages every 10

Contact your administrator.
You'll have to create a new pst and make sure you select the format for
Outlook 97-2002 compatible PST files. Then export all of the information in
the incompatible PST file to the newly created Outlook 97-2002 PST file.

I've got a client wanting to 'breakout' from SBS 2003, but then want to go to

Is it possible to go straight to Standard 2008, to migrate their CALs and
get the transition discount?

I am admin for an office with Exchange 2003 SP2 with Outlook 2003 SP2 as the

We have a rather complex mail setup here, where mail groups often send
mail to other mail groups. Back in our pre-Exchange days, we could
verify that mails to an address were being sent to the correct places
by using the sendmail -bt <firstname.lastname@example.org> command. This would spit
out a nice list of how mail would be routed within the server.
Is there an equivalent in Exchange? My bosses have asked that when we
make changes to mail groups, we QA them to make sure that mail will
still flow properly. I'd like the output of the command to be in text
format so I can copy & paste it into...Ugrdng from SBS 2003 Premium SP1 to SBS 2003 Premium R2 affects CR

I recently purchased new machine w/ XP Pro and Office 2003 Pro. Prior to

Outlook 2003 has an account on my internal Exchange 5.5 server as well as an

The sporadic problems I am having thus far include;
