Does anybody knows if Microsoft Sharepoint works with a Mac. If it does, are there any limitations? Thank you. Denis Yep, it works fine if you use a Mozilla browser (Firefox/Camino). Won't work well with Safari. -Rick denis wrote: > Does anybody knows if Microsoft Sharepoint works with a Mac. If it > does, are there any limitations? > Thank you. > Denis ...

Access2007 in Sharepoint
If i put an access2007 mdb on sharepoint, does everyone has to have the same version of access to use the mdb? On Dec 11, 1:24 pm, casper <cas...@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > If i put an access2007 mdb on sharepoint, does everyone has to have the same > version of access to use the mdb? My impression is not really. or at least not if you don't want a frequently corruped database. Access can look at and access and link to sharepoint tables/views HOWEVER I have found it to be horribly slow. I have written a couple of apps that pulled info from sharepoint and the best w...

CRM integration with MOSS: tracking emails in CRM stored in a MOSS list
Hello, I have a question concerning integration of MOSS and CRM, and I would like to ask your opinions on best ways of doing it: In my company, we are currently using Exchange public folders to receive emails with attachments from clients. We are planning to deploy both CRM and MOSS in our organisation. However, we would like to make use of MOSS libraries to store emails (in the same way we're doing with Exchange public folders at the moment), but ALSO make use of CRM to tag these emails with a tracking ID. Question: Can we combine these features? If so, what would be the best pr...

Can someone please explain to me the significance to the integration user???? Does the Integration User need to be added to every account in CRM in for there to be no problems? I understand that when data is brought over from Great Plains the Integration User is set as the owner...will there be any problem if I delete that integration user and add in someone else? I messed up and frogot to run a script when I did the integration. Now when I do migration (from siebel) I have duplicate data. I was going to in and delete all account that had an owner of Integration User (since thes...

Problems with Outlook Integration
Was using V1.0 with sample data with no problem, just went through a very painless 1.2 "upgrade". It was more of an uninstall and re-install. Infact i reinstalled everything except the sample data which would not allow an uninstall unless CRM was completely removed from the system. Anyhow, the event logs are fine, the web interface works great but when I attach my 2000,XP,or2K3 clients with Outlook for CRM installed I get Script error processing messages. More specifically the error message states: An error has occured in the script in this page Line: 25 Char: 1 Error: Object Expir...

Transaction in ms crm webmethods ?
Hi all, Does the WebService (WS) MS CRM use transactions while updating or creating records ? For exemple, I want to update a contact record, and in the same transaction add to this contact a new address. If the update of the contact is OK, but the creation of the address fail, I want MS CRM to cancel all the changes made. Is this native to MS CRM, or have I to made the rollback manually ? If I have to do it manually, have you some tips on the best way to do it ? Thanks a lot DA CRM does not use transactions, and there is no roll-back facility. You would need to store the original state...

link ALL emails to/from CRM contacts
We want to link ALL incoming and outgoing emails to CRM contacts automatically without having to depend on the user or owner settings. There may be several people who work with a contact so usign the contact owner doesn't work for us. We were thinking we could do this somehow with an exchange journal mailbox and an Outlook client running. However we can't seem to find a way aroudn the contact 'owner' issue. Will the journal mailbox have to be the contact owner for all CRM contacts for this to work? Is there any other way to do this? ...

finding training classes on CRM
Does anybody know of any class training for installing and deploying Microsoft CRM? I've searched around and I can only find one place in Canada that does it. Anybody know of any other classes? Has anybody taking the eclasses offered by Microsoft? I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks! you know....honestly,......with this product in particular, I would suggest that you are better off taking a good computer with decent CPU/Memory and create a test environment for CRM. Theres simply no way any class can cover every possible issue that comes up with installing and customizing CRM with...

How to track email reply's in CRM 3.0
Hello. Was wondering if anyone knew how to "track" emial reply's in CRM 3.0 Example: I open a lead and send an email activity to the lead email address. It creates a GUID in the subject of the outlook message. When the person replys, I want this email to be automatically sent to the LEAD I emailed from and put right into the activity of the lead. Any suggestions? let me also clarify, do I need the CRM for Outlook installed for this functionality to work? If not, how is it setup on exchange to do this? Sharepoint and GP
At Convergence this year there was a session about GP and Sharepoint (it was GP12 -- How Microsoft Dynamics GP Helps Save You Money with Microsoft Office Sharepoint) and John Dooley gave a demo of some workflow that was between GP and Sharepoint. A customer was created in GP and it would automatically send a business alert to Sharepoint to create a folder for that customer. Was anyone else here sitting in or know about how he did that? I know how to do the alert, of course, and I have a rudimentary understanding of the workflow in WSS 3, but how do the two talk to each other so it makes the ...

viewing crm emails in Outlook inbox
In crm 1.2 when a workflow fired off an email message it was sent to the recipients CRM and Outlook inbox, it appears as 3.0 doesn't do the same. Is there a way to get the email messages generated by a workflow in the CRM to appear in the recipients inbox. My issue is that people are not keen at having to track email messages in two places and they don't want to use CRM as there main interface for emails. Thanks, John ...

CRM Vista install
I have been having a problem deploying the outlook client to a user with Vista Home Premium and Office 2007. I can make the install work, but its a kludge and problematic. Normally when i install PCs that are off our domain, They are confugured to connect to us via VPN and we use the "Stored Usernames and Passwords" feature in Windows XP to handle the Login for the CRM server as was recommended to us by Microsoft. But when I try and do that with Vista Home Premium, the login never passes to the CRM server. I comfirmed this by trying to connect to our CRM web server as well....

sharepoint backup and restores on sbs 2998

MS CRM 4.0 Print Quote to Customer Mail Merge
Trying to print a quote for a customer with multiple line items in the new MS CRM 4.0 using the mail merge. When I start the merge it imports the line items as seperate recipients and creates a new page for each line item. Is there a way set up the merge so that the line items all print on a single page for a quote. I guess I also need to address that if the total number of line items exceed the space allowed on a sinle page then they need to rollover to a new page. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Windows 7, MS Project, or Sharepoint which to get first
We are planning on getting all 3 but were wondering what questions to ask as to which to get first to start development with. Project Server runs on sharepoint, so you if you are using project server you need sharepoint. Project can run on windows vista, etc. so Windows 7 would not be a requirement. Of course if you want to use project you need to get project too... Sharepoint requires some sort of operating system, so if you have none then you need to buy something - and windows server would be a good starting point. What are you planning to develop? -Jack "chaz...

Hi, Are we able to use the CRM API (Microsoft.CRM.Proxy.dl) if we only have MS CRM Standard Suite. Hi Georges, The answer is yes. Deploying .NET crystal reports on crm 1.2 server
Hi, We developed some reports using Visual Studio.Net 2003 inbuilt Crystal Reports & viewer.(we had to do this because the CRM reports using SDK were not able to talk to our separate custom database) We are able to render these .net crystal reports on our developer machine (non-crm).However, we are not able to render the same when we deploy these .NEt crystal reports to our CRM webserver. (We have CRM 1.2 Installation with Crystal Enterprise 9 on this crm server) I guess that this may be happening because of version conflict between .Net crystal viewer and the CRM enhanced crystal v...

sharepoint product version vs Sharepoint schema version?
I've new to Sharepoint, and I've been googling sharepoint product versions and schema versions, and I am confused... http://blogs.msdn.com/shaden/archive/2008/01/10/migrated-to-sp1-checking-your-database-schema-version.aspx based on the above page, it sounds like the sharepoint product version should be the same as the schema version, but even within that page the versions are not all the same: I see "12.0.0.4518", 12.0.4518.1016..., where even the 3rd positions are not the same. Then when I google other sites, they refer to version 3.0 of the schema and vers...
