Mobile CRM & Non Windows O/S
Hi, we are a SW company specialised in Enterprise solutions, and we are evaluating whether to start selling/customising Microsoft CRM. From recent postings on the CRM Developer group, we now realise there is no SDK for CRM Mobile. We would therefore appreciate any feedback on how feasible the CRM Mobile platform is at present. As an example, we have a client that is looking at CRM, but who has also just gone for Blackberry as their mobile platform. Without a Mobile CRM SDK, can we sell them MS CRM as an enterprise solution that will work on their Blackberry units? I would immagine the above is is not an unusual scenario, given that Windows Pocket PC and Mobile O/S only have about 50% of the handheld platform market, and even less of the Smartphone market. Combobox Help needed
Hello, I have been trying to populate a Combobox with a filter set to what is being typed in the combo's edit control. If I type in "C" it selects the first 40 "C" then I would like to type in "u" clear the listbox portion and put in the first 40 "Cu" etc.. I would need to clear only the combo's edit box but unfortunately ResetContent()also clears the edit box. It gets the first 40 "C" but then the edit box is cleared. CRM v1.2 Report Manager Problem
Hi all, I am having a problem with Report Manager after having reinstalled the MS CRM on the CRM Server. When I logged in using Report Manager, it stated that the "CRM folder does not exist!" I can run all other CRM services fine but with this error I cannot publish all of my reports and hence keep getting the Crystal Report Logon Error. I am stuck to this problem for so long and still have no solution to it... CRM login problem in IE
Recently some of our CRM users have started facing the login problem through IE. As soon as they enter their username and password, the IE close down. The strange thing is that same user is able to login from an other machine. IE version is 6.0 with SP1 on both machines, windows is properly updated on both machines, but why user is able to login from one machine but not from the other machine. Windows Security pop-up
Checking email as usual, then a Windows Security window pops up, asking for my mail server User Name and Password. So I input (but apparently incorrect). I tried going to Windows Security, and Windows Mail to try to get rid of it. I think it must be new since my Windows upgrade last night . ARGH!!! How do I get rid of this? Windows 2008 R2 and SQL SSMSE installation
Hi, I am tring to install SQL 2008 R2 and SSMSE on a Server 2008 Server that has already been upgraded to Powershell V2. I have been unable to get Powershell V1 installed, even after removing PoshV2, and downloading Poshv1, I get an error installing Posh V1, says this update does not apply to your system. HTTP_500 error with mobile active sync
Hi, We have a problem that none of our mobile devices can sync with the Exchange 2003 server. I have done absolutely everyting posible, and found on the knowledge base. The problem is this. When a PPC 2003 connects with activesync over SSL to our exchange 2003, they get authenticated, but after a few seconds they will receive the HTTP_500 error. unable to open CRM web page
It seems that I can open the CRM web page from the server but not from any workstations. It also affected any clients that were using the Outlook client. I have tried opening the page using the ip address, and the FQDN of the the server and still didn't have any luck. Someone point me in the right direction. I want to plot some spectroscopy data. The range of x-data (wavelength) is from 270 to 1100 nm. However, I would like the x-axis lablels to read only 300, 400, etc., rather than 270, 370, 470... Is there any way in Excel 2003 or later to change the position on the axis where number labeling begins? I know this is possible in other plotting programs, but would prefer Excel for student use. Does anybody have any suggestions how to upgrade crm 1.2 to crm 3.0 when all you have is the MSCRM and the METADATA database files from the crm 1.2 install? IMAP access from MAC's to Exchange 2000
Guys a question for you re IMAP. We have a server (Exchange 2000 sp3 August 2004 Post SP3 Roll-UP with mirrored 36.gb disks and 2Gb of ram) in our org in a site with around local 30-40 clients. Please advise: This morning I wanted to copy my pst file to laptop -via home network. Outlook hickupped against that. I then made an archive file in same directory and copied that via via to laptop. Sending PDF's
Each month using MS Publisher 2003, I produce a 16 x A5 page church magazine using the 'Booklet' set up, and the paper magazine is printed onto eight A4 pages. I now wish to send an emailed PDF version to folk who live away and who don't have Publisher. Obviously if I convert this 'booklet' produced file to a PDF using PrimoPDF, I get page 1and page 16 together, the p2 & 15, etc. Obviously I'd like the recipients of the PDF get the pages in the right order. Does anyone know of a simple CRM like add-in for RMS that would allow the user to track more custom information on their customers. It doesn't need to be anything quite as robust as a standalone CRM application would be, just a little more flexible than the 15 fields RMS offers. Custom screen pulled from a custom POS button. Hi, I'm trying to figure out a way to "select" a line in a scrolling window in Dexterity. What I need to do is programatically set the focus on a line (any line) in the scrolling window so that it is has an active record (ie entire line highlighted). UNDO or UNDELETE COLUMN(S)
A column was DELETED on a spreadsheet (on a disk - F:) and NOT saved in the data base-ay yi yi). I was not able to "undo" or NOT save changes. I just recieved Exchange 2003 for my Active Directory Network with an internal domain that is not a registered external domain. It might be registered by someone else, our external domain and email addresses are hosted outside but we are bringing the email inside. Is there a way to be able to send and recieve mail from the domain without having to change it. I know we can set up a recipient policy but I am not sure if we would be able to send. I am using Excel 2003 Small Business Edition. Excel was already loaded on my computer when I purchased it. However, Monotype Sorts font is not an available font selection. UNDO or UNDELETE COLUMN(S)
A column was DELETED on a spreadsheet (on a disk - F:) and NOT saved in the data base-ay yi yi). I was not able to "undo" or NOT save changes. What can I do to retrieve or restore this lost column if anything? No one has a "formula". Theresa, Is there no recycle bin for this drive? No backup file? Migration from ACT to CRM via Outlook with Business Contact Manage
We have been looking for a straightforward means of migrating ACT to CRM (reasonable cost and reasonable effort). Alternatives include manual reentry, Scribe Insight, CDF / DTS. Is the following migration path technically feasible? Documentation suggests that the following alternative might work: 1. Install Business Contact Manager (BCM) for Outlook. 2. Use the Business Contact Manager's Import wizard to capture Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, etc., into Outlook with BCM. This would exploit the ACT/ BCM maps in IRIS. 3. Non registered internal domain
I just recieved Exchange 2003 for my Active Directory Network with an internal domain that is not a registered external domain. It might be registered by someone else, our external domain and email addresses are hosted outside but we are bringing the email inside. Is there a way to be able to send and recieve mail from the domain without having to change it. I know we can set up a recipient policy but I am not sure if we would be able to send.
