Reproducable bug with Access 2007 runtime: macro, rename table does not work - 49349

Dear all,

I have a macro renaming the table X to A.

This macro works fine when access 2K3 is installed.

With run-time 2007 (and perhaps with Access 2007 also), I don't get any
error message and the rename is NOT done. (Run-time allows me to delete
and
import objects, but not to rename?)

The table has no relations.

Can someone tell me if there is a patch/workaround for this? Seems to be
to be a (severe) bug.

Regards,
Alain

Excel bug: conditional formatting
When using conditional formatting with more than more formula, the formatting ceases to go through all conditions once one condition becomes true. This isn't the same behavior as when cell values are used. This to me is a bug, but if this is intended, it should at least be an option to continue through all conditions. The behaviour is the same when cell values are used. For example: Condition 1: Cell Value Is greater than 10 Format: Bold Condition 2: Cell Value Is greater than 20 Format: Red Condition 3: Cell Value Is greater than 30 Format: Italic A cell that contains a...

Pivot table question #9
I recently had a problem with values not showing properly in my PivotTable, until it was poited out to me that I was using Text in some cells instead of numbers. Ideally, I would like to include text. Is there anyway at all that I can? My data comes from an Access Table by the way My reasoning. the data in the pivot shows scores overall of several years competition, and each meet has 2 reserves, who can step in for an excluded competitor. However, the reserves might not compete, but still need to be recorded as a competitor at the event. Rather than showing zero (0) as their score, I'd r...

Outlook accessing wrong server for public folders.
Hi all. I have an Exchange 2003 routing group with 4 Exchange servers. I have created public folder replicas on each of the Exchange servers, however, when any Outlook client accesses the Outlook Security Settings public folder (or any other folder?), it always connects to the first Exchange server where the Outlook Security Settings folder was created. I found this by checking the connection status window in Outlook 2003 and noticed that it is connecting to the first server for public folder access. I checked that the default public folder store on each server is set to itself. Th...

Bug: Hotfix 911829 malformats HTML in replies
Installed hotfix 911829 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 (fixes some issues with Outlook Web Access) the other day. Discovered that when an OWA user replies to a message, the HTML in the message is malformatted. Specifically, the closing </HEAD> tage is messed up, so there is no apparent closing tag to <HEAD>. Most email readers don't seem to have a problem with this (they'll figure it out), but Entourage X and 2004 for Mac will display the message as blank. Uninstalled the hotfix, and the messages were properly formatted. Reference: http://support.microsoft.com/k...

PowerPoint 2007 Printing issues
Hi, This issue has been driving me crazy: we have presentations that have linked excel tables and pictures, and everything looks awesome in print preview and presentation mode, but when I print, some linked excel tables and pictures just show blank. I have played around with it, and the only way to guarantee it prints is to paste everything as Bitmap picture, but we need the linked Excel table function to save tons of time cutting and pasting. As I said, some of the tables will print, but some of them don't, which is driving me nuts, and everything is fine electronical...

The missing stage in the process is : How do I access the Product Key activation screen with the box in which to enter the Product Key? IP Sec with DPM 2007 or DPM 2010
Hi, we are about to implement IP Sec for a group of servers which will be backed up by DPM. I wanted to find out if there are any restrictions regarding backing up IP Sec hosts vs non IP Sec hosts in the same domain. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks! There is no restrictions on IP sec policies on DPM as IP sec policies work at much lower layer than what DPM uses. But the policies should be in such a way that both DPM and Production servers should be able to communicate with each other, like network share browsing etc..(any windows applications between these two machines...

Large Excel file size caused by a bug ? I really tried everything
Hi, I have an Excel file of 1 worksheet, containing data in about 20 rows by 20 columns, which is 310 kB ! I noticed copying the range of cells A3:E7 and pasting it doubles the file size, but I cannot find anything wrong in those cells. Size of file with pivot table
I have a file that was 8MB when I started. I created a pivot table pulling 7 fields from a worksheet. Now the size is 20MB. Any ideas why this one pivot table would cause the file to be so large when the 8MB file already had pivot table sin it? When it was 8MB, it had 6 pivot tables. Now it's 20MB and it has 7 pitvot tables. Why is this one table so much larger? Were the 6 PivotTable independent, or did they all use the same cache? If you build PivotTables that use another PivotTable as reference (for when you're reference the same raw data, just taking a different...

Call for opinions on Visual Source Safe with Access 2007

I did dabble with it back in the late 90's and found that it often resulted in corruption and other issues. (Damned if I can remember any specifics.) In any case, I am looking for any feedback on the current state of this product from actual users. I am expecting migrate to Acc2007 soon and think it might be a good time to put the project under better source control. I am most interested in what limitations and/or problems you may have encountered as users and ...
