Open in design view, click on the Combo icon on the ribbon and place cursor
where you want the corner to be and drag to the opposite corner. Right click
it and scroll down to select Properties. Add a source.

By the way what do you expect it to do?

Updating in a Form with a Query assigned to the Form
I need to know how to make a form updatable when a query is assigned to the form. It tells me that the query needs to be updatable to allow fields to be updated. Why isn't data that is automatically generated in my form showing up in table?
Ok, I've been messing with this problem all day (for those of you who have been following me, I'm so sorry!). But I think I finally figured out the root of my problem. I have created a form that allows users to enter in an employee's clock number using a combo box and it automatically generates the employee's name in a text box next to it by pulling information from the Employee Data table. This data shows up fine in the form view and the datasheet view. However, when I open the table up that this data is being saved to (Weekly Data), the data that has been automatically...

Print a form crashes Access 2007
I "copied" a form from a pdf, and "pasted" it to a create a form, and added fields to it and it worked fine, until recently. I tried to print it and Access "encounters an error". Since I couldn't figure it out, I recopied the form only from the pdf form and pasted it, creating a new form. I just tried to print the form without adding any fields, and it still "encounters an error" when I try to just print it. Other forms work, and this one used to...what in the world could this be, and how can I fix it. -- djkc55 ...

'Roll Back' new record on form
Hi, I have created a form for transactions with an autonumber field to generate a transactions ID. I have received a request from users of the form to be able to roll back a new record (in the case of data entry error) so that the transaction ID does not commit to the database. They do not want to delete the record as this would generate 'gaps' in the transactions ID sequence eg 1, 2, 3, 5 and so on. Any macro or code that would make this happen? cheers hi Pedro, pedro wrote: > I have created a form for transactions with an autonumber field to generate > a transactio...

Feed Combo Box with a Query
Hello everyone, I have a form that among other things has two combo boxes. The first one is fed with a simple table with two entries. I would like the second one to display the result of a query run in the background. The idea is that based on what the user selects in the first combo box she would get a specific set of options in the second one. I don't know if this is the right way to do it, but if anything else at least the following code will give you an idea of what I'm trying to do: Private Sub cmb_FirstComboBox_AfterUpdate() Dim SQL As String If Me.cmb_Fi...

Setting the format property to dd-mmm-yy or Medium date always returns xx/xx/xx even though the row sources is formatted to dd-mmm-yy with the output of a query. In setting up a application where clients master info is to be entered, would/should I have one frmDataEntry and another frmViewClientData, since the frmDataEntry will involve strict Entry but with the frmViewClientData I want to utilize the various methods of SEARCHING for Client data, using ComboBoxes (drop downs) to select client of interest. OL 2007 Forms and not seeing new contacts created for the public G
A few years ago I created a form to be used with Exchange's public GAL. It has and is working OK. I am now running Windows 7 and Outlook 2007 and ran into this problem. When I go to the public GAL and create a new contact using a form I created after it is saved I don't see the contact. If I go to someone elses PC that is running Outlook 2003, I see the contact I just added and yes I have full Admin rights to my PC and the Exchange server. So I was wondering if the form could have something to do with it. If I right click on the GAL public folder and click properties and t...

How to implement transparent static on dialog box?
I would implement a transparent static text to show the status text of the progress on dialog box. The background of dialog box is not default system color. Originally, I set the bk mode of the static to transparent mode and return a NULL_BRUSH in OnCtlColor() of dialog class. It can fit my requirement if the static text is not changed. However, the old text is not erased if the static text is changed. I think I need to override some function to erase background first. Single Front End File with Form that Can by Filtered By User
I’ve got an Expense Report DB that I split into a back-end (tables) and multiple front-ends (for my users). I understand why one needs to split the DB, however because I’ve tailored the switchboard and some other forms to the users (using filters, etc) I now realize I’ve created a maintenance nightmare. These users will not be creating any forms, reports, macros or functions. They will simply be adding or possibly deleting records from the tables via their forms. From what I've experienced, a FE doesn't lock multiple users out if they are only running queries or populating tables. ...
